She'll get a public defender who won't be able to decline. There won't be alot of mercy at sentencing, IMO, because state will have completed the investigation into the letter, and it will point at JK. It also might get her prison assignment increased to max?

During the brief video of the hearing the judge said that it was an issue that came up during discovery. Considering they are public defenders, perhaps they had previously represented someone who was a witness to the shenanigans around the alibi letter.
