Zachary Delozier, 27; Sara Gaudino, 23; and Isaiah Schryvers, 24, all of South Dakota, were arrested in Wisconsin on Saturday after allegedly snatching the girl in Wells County, according to the Wells County Sheriff’s Office.

Finding this missing 11yo child is a New Year's miracle for her family. I've searched for the way this child was kidnapped but can't find data on that point.

One article stated she'd been missing since 3:30pm Saturday, DEC 30, from the Stoney Creek trailer park. I wonder if the kidnappers knew someone who lived in that park.

The kidnappers were from South Dakota, more than 1,000 miles away from the girl's Indiana home. They were caught in Wisconsin, apparently driving her back to SD.

I suspect that this will turn out to be a grooming situation, with the kidnappers connecting with the child online and convincing her to come away with them.

What is the child's connection to these three? Anyone know?

N.C., age 11, was the subject of a Silver Alert in Indiana on December 30, 2023. Hours later the Silver Alert was canceled, and the Wells County Sheriff announced that she was found safe. Her WS thread was deleted at that time. I've started a new thread because of information that is now known about this case. There are details that have not yet been made public, but more data should be released when the court documents are available. What is known, so far, is that an 11-year-old girl in IN was kidnapped by three people from SD, all in their 20's. They will be extradited from WI to IN, and I'm assuming there will also be federal charges since she was taken across state lines.

Facts to date:

Dec 30, 2023, the sheriff in Wells County, IN announced that N. C., age 11 was missing. Several state and local agencies jointed Wells county in the search. The early reports said she was from Zanesville. It was later announced that a white Dodge Caravan was seen in the area, and it was believed that she might have left the area in that vehicle.

Indiana issued a statewide Silver Alert with a picture and description of the child and a description of the vehicle. The Silver Alert gave the information that she was missing from Markle, IN.

Dec 31, 2023, The sheriff's office in Iowa County, WI was notified that a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle in an IN abduction was seen at a Kwik Stop in Barneveld, WI.

The vehicle left the Kwik Stop and was pulled over by deputies on US Hwy 151 in Dodgeville, WI

N. C. was found in the vehicle and was rescued by deputies. The two men and one woman in the vehicle, all from SD, were arrested. They are: Zachary Delozier, 27, Sara Gaudino, 23, and Isaiah Schryvers, 24. They're accused of one count each of kidnapping a minor.

Current MSM articles say that there were warrants for the arrest of all three people in Wells County, IN, so LE must have identified them, and have had a complete description of the vehicle, before their arrests.

The missing girl was found inside the vehicle and “safely removed,” while three adults were taken into custody.

According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, the arrestees were 27-year-old Zachary Delozier, 23-year-old Sara Gaudino, and 24-year-old Isaiah Schryvers. All three of them are from South Dakota, and all three of them had warrants for kidnapping of a minor in Wells County, Ind.

Officials have not said why the trio took the girl or where they were headed.

******
By the time of the arrests, the allegedly purloined girl had traveled over 350 miles from home — and through adjacent northern Illinois.

******
Details about the alleged kidnapping are scarce.

None of the agencies involved in the case have floated a motive for the three adults’ alleged plan. Nor have they said where the defendants are believed to have been trying to take the girl.

The relationship between the alleged abductee and the adults who took her, if one exists, is also not immediately clear. The girl does not share the same last name as any of her alleged kidnappers.

Extradition will be the next step in prosecuting the three charged adults — all of whom hail from two cities in South Dakota.

Wells County officials say the investigation is ongoing.

I am not understanding the connection to the girl

They made it too far before being caught. That freaks me out so bad. And not to be the ad hominem person but those are the exact people I think of when I’m thinking about who I don’t want to take my daughter.

I hope we can find a way, culturally, to protect our children better. The internet was a mistake!

young N.C. is very lucky to have been found safe. I can think of no good reason three adults would travel across the country to pick up an 11 year old child and abduct her.

From the link, this is very interesting...

According to court documents, [NC] told officers after they pulled over the Caravan that she remembered being at home and then waking up in a vehicle with the three suspects inside.

She said she didn’t know who they were, where she was or how they got to Wisconsin.

When police spoke with [NC]'s mother again after finding the suspects, she told them she did not know who the three were and she believed the girl was taken against her will, according to court documents.

So, the girl says she didn't have prior contact with them online?

(Note - although the article contains the girl's real name, I've edited the excerpt to just use her initials.)

Sara Gaudino's FB is very disturbing. I haven't looked through the others' two but noticed that Zack Delozier is a security guard and among his interests, a certain concrete business is mentioned. I wonder if it is their first abduction. Very sinister, and to add, all three perpetrators look like an illustration to "the Faces of Meth".

Also from the linked article:

During the investigation, neighbors told Wells County Sheriff’s investigators they saw two men in a minivan with an out-of-state license plate around the time NC went missing. Witnesses also told police they saw two men walking with K-9s in the area.

Investigators also found that a number belonging to one of the men involved had called the phone belonging to N. C. 28 times within the hour she went missing. They also learned that a Dodge Caravan with South Dakota license plates was located on surveillance cameras headed towards Chicago across Indiana.

The article continues with more details. LE really did an outstanding job tracking her down before harm could come to her. The neighbors also deserve a lot of credit for being observant and for reporting details about the out-of-state van and the two unknown men walking dogs in the area. Thankfully, the 3 suspects weren't smart enough to conceal their identities.

Her mother said she had recently found inappropriate messages on the phone between NC and two people; the mother said at least one of those people was a man but she couldn’t remember his information.

The BBM and the portion above added by me seems to support the "communicated beforehand" theory else how would they have her phone number? Scary world we live in. Social media makes it all the scarier when it comes to monitoring children's access. NC is not credible with her faulty memory but I can imagine worrying about getting into trouble can make you "forget" all sorts of things when you are that age. Just very happy she is safe, hopefully she stays that way.

I get the argument some parents make when deciding to let their children have their own phones. I truly do. But this case right here is a prime example of why I opted not to allow mine to have that privilege until they were several years older.

Please note I am in no way victim blaming, just opining on what a different time it is today trying to navigate parenting than it was say 20 years ago.
