GUILTY WI - Alexander Woodworth, 24, stabbed 16 times by Ezra McCandless, Eau Claire, Mar 2018

I didn't realize the head wound was in Alex's left temple. That in of itself should sink her.

That was new to me as well. And the fact she did not pee herself like she said she did. She was pretty pissed about that, no pun intended. OK, pun intended ;).

I appreciate the discussion as well! I'm moderately optimistic about the prosecution this morning -- he's finally putting 2+2 together and isn't confused about the answer.

Yes, finally putting 2+2 together.

I didn’t know that either, I thought it was lower near his ear. She pierced the skull, that takes force and it takes force to pull the knife out of bone too. That would explain why he was “blabbering.”

I have to say the prosecutor is doing a good job so far.

EM's demeanor is very different this morning -- I don't think I've ever seen her quite like this before.

IMO, EM is feeling her goose being cooked. It's the first time I've seen her look sad/scared/tearful in the course of the trial. All for her own predicament, of course.

If Ezra's blood is not on that knife, what knife did she use to cut herself with?

Perceptual reasoning 79 IQ. Borderline, perhaps low enough for the Dunning-Kruger effect, where very dumb people are so dumb they think they are smart.

she is conniving, and as an attractive young lady, she was able to manipulate people. She thinks of herself as clever. But is not.

YES....Alex's journals are a distraction. I hope the jury sees that.

She’s not looking too happy now.

She must have been in a complete panic after not being able to drag him out of the car and the car being stuck in the mud. I get in a panic if I think I sent a text to the wrong person. Can't imagine the level of panic she must have felt.

Does anyone have a good idea of the scenario from start to finish of what happened for Alex to end up in the position he was?

Prosecution has done a great job of showing how the forensics do not match up with her ridiculous story.

Yes, very glad about that since it was not at all clear during the trial.

This motive seems weak to me. What would getting Alex to admit their relationship was a mistake do?

Agree. I didn't really understand what his spoken argument about motive either.

Is that EM’s mom with the blonde hair seated next to the step dad?

I was wondering about that too, but her hair was almost black yesterday or the day before

No, her mom has straight dark hair. I think she's in front of them to "our" left. Like one row ahead.

I assume the blonde is her dad's partner/wife.
