Hello, popping in to give my two cents. Since no one saw or heard anything suspicious, it's possible he was snatched from the porch by someone from the neighborhood who wouldn't stand out, then sold or given to someone out of area who really wanted a child without going through the adoption process legally. Just a thought and jmo.

I think his mama is right--Dontray is alive and well somewhere and doesn't know that the people who raised him aren't his real family. Sadly, he doesn't know how much his real family miss him.

A very sad story... How long would it have taken his sister to go to the bathroom? Three to five minutes at the most? If that long... It's crazy to think that someone came along and in that short a time decided to steal a child... apparently the police don't let anyone look through the files... If they haven't been able to decipher him in 50 years, what's the harm in letting new people look through them? I wonder if modern genealogy techniques might help them in any way... I mean, if he was kidnapped and given a new identity, maybe he's in some DNA database... Maybe he always felt something was wrong... Or maybe he just did it because so many people take DNA tests these days... Who knows?... A Black boy goes missing in the 1970s... I'm surprised there's anything on him...
