GUILTY WI - Dr. Beth Potter and husband murdered at UW Arboretum, Madison, March 2020 *Arrests*

Were they sabotaged? My question is, how did these killers know they were going to be there at that time?

maybe one of the kids comments’ about parents made the perp see them as a robbery target for their wealth, or some sort of enemy (like across the political aisle).

With the lack of clear indications of a motive, this seems possible. The suspects Face Book samplings do contain a some vaguely leftist socio economic references.

At the same time, there is no indications that the victims were active in politics to the extent that they would normally be seen as "partisan". Likewise, Madison is full of upper income progressives.

In addition to the possibilities of a romance motive and a political motive, I wonder if the victims had contact with the suspect through the community.

Perhaps they were foster parents in the past.? Or maybe, volunteered with Big Brother or other community groups focused on "at risk" type youth? The doctor seems to have worked at a community health type clinic. This does not give the impression of an aloof doctor and could support other community involvement.

That does sound like a possibility altho the Heavy report has very thin evidence of a relationship with the daughter - one comment & heart emoji on FB a few months ago.

On the suspect's Instagram he has a recent picture of himself wearing a necklace that spells out her name.

I'm having trouble linking it because my phone is programmed to only show me IG on my app but his username is swervv2x and I found him by just searching for his actual name.

The photo with the necklace spelling her name is from March 10.

Wisconsin teen charged in 'calculated' double homicide of university doctor, husband

Authorities in Wisconsin arrested and charged a teenager in what they called the “calculated” double homicide of a university doctor and her husband last week, police said Saturday.

Police at the University of Wisconsin-Madison said that Ali’jah J. Larrue, 18, was booked on two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the killings of Dr. Beth Potter and Robin Carre.

The announcement of Larrue’s arrest came one day after police said that an alleged accomplice, Khari Sanford, 18, was also taken into custody on suspicion of being a party to the killings of Potter and Carre.

Police said that Sanford was “known” to the victims’ family and that their killings appeared targeted.

Larrue and Sanford are expected to make initial court appearances next week, the Associated Press reported. It isn’t immediately clear if they have lawyers

It sounds like the daughter was in a relationship with him.My total speculation is the parents made the daughter break it off with him for very good reason as he had a criminal record and sounds very troubled. He took out revenge on them.So sad for this family.

If he wanted to talk to them, why not just go to their house? Unless he was no longer welcome there?

WOW, Did you read the comments on his Instagram?

IMO there is a lot of evidence of a romantic relationship between the suspect and the victims' daughter. Originally I thought it might be a relatively new relationship but based on what I've seen I now think it goes back several months.

I was looking for the date Sanford stole his foster parents' car and I think this article has been updated since originally published with a lot of interesting info:

Teenager arrested in connection to homicides of Madison doctor, husband

It talks about what the reporter saw on the daughter's fb (only bringing this up because it was in the MSM source) and the reporter also spoke to a foster parent so there's more info about that situation.

I hope this link is acceptable. It includes a memorial video with several speakers - At approx 21:30 Robin Carre's brother. Very, very sad (and senseless) loss of two wonderful people.

Beth and Robin

Beth and Robin
The pictures and testimonials are heartbreaking. They seem like incredible, generous people. It hits home close to home - they were the same (somewhat rare) denomination - Unitarian Universalists - as my family.

It's almost unbearable to see what these two poured into being parents (and being just plain incredible people) and how important the family bond they seemed to them. Especially knowing that in addition to losing these wonderful people/parents, the family's wounds may go even deeper.

Don't watch anywhere you would be embarrassed to cry.
