Sad that they didn’t even list his wife in the obituary.

I have dealt with suicide in families. There typically is a need for blame. Since the deceased was estranged from his biological family, there is likely anger towards his wife. She is a victim too, and I too hope she has a support system and doesn’t blame herself. It is always a difficult situation when mental health is involved in my opinion and experience

Missing Madison man found after 139 days as family calls for change in search efforts

The family says their son’s case was not treated with the urgency it deserved.

After 139 days missing, Madison man Eric Boll has been found, and his family is pushing for change after what they are calling an infuriating search process.

While relieved to have closure, Trisha and Steven Moehn say the search for their son was frustrating, adding that law enforcement told them not to get directly involved in the investigation. They feel that with more support, Eric could have been found sooner.

Boll was last seen on August 23 on Madison’s east side before his body was discovered last month. He was found less than three miles from where he left from and is believed to have taken his own life.

Eric’s celebration of life was held on January 25. His family says the individuals who discovered Eric were unable to accept the reward money, adding they will be donating it to the organizations that helped in the search.
