The La Crosse Police Department is allowing researchers to come to their station to copy and research their files (you have to make an appointment) on the Evelyn Hartley case. Attached is one such investigative file which was cleared by a moderator/admin. It clarifies a redaction of whose farm it was where Hartley was allegedly buried. It doesn't address whether they did a search on that property.
