Court records for a Gabrietlla Alexis Cartagena DOB 10/2001 don't show any recent activity but she may not have driving privileges as she has been cited for driving while suspended, then 3 years later, an OWI (Operating While Intoxicated) without a valid operating license.

Was she with someone that night that had a vehicle, or using a Uber or ride share?

She has at least one child, a paternity acknowledgement case in 2023, but it is closed and no recent court activity related to visitation, support etc. since that might be a red flag.

A person of interest has been arrested in her disappearance. Police have not released any new information however the family said foul play is suspected and the person (unamed in the article) was the last person seen with her (stated to be a trip to the grocery store together). Police say person of interest in custody related to Marinette missing woman case

The Marinette Police have confirmed a person is in custody on their official FB page. Log into Facebook Fox 11 (local) Wisconsin has released the name however, stating the person of interest is in custody in Minnesota. I am not going to list any charges or other details available in court records in MN until such time as LE confirms the msm report. Case records in WI for that name are currently sealed per judicial order. Wisconsin Circuit Court Access

The family of a woman who went missing says she has died after she was last heard on a phone call begging for her life.

Authorities confirmed in an update that she was located, writing that "more information will be released as soon as possible." Shortly after she was found, however, (a fundraising page was launched) by family members that indicates that the victim has died.

"My name is Alpachino Cartagena, and I am the older brother of Gabriella Cartagena, who recently passed away. Gabriella’s passing was completely unexpected, and our family is still trying to process this sudden loss," the (fundraising page) reads in part.

Hopefully the press conference this morning will have some info. I found it really odd (and I've worked in and around LE for 25+ years) that her status as being deceased or not after being located was withheld from the public while the family has an active fundraiser site announcing her death. I can see LE keeping it quiet if doing so might get the POI to release details they otherwise wouldn't if they thought murder wasn't on the table - but once the family has made it public, from the police's viewpoint what's the reasoning?
