Back at the beginning, there was some talk of man reporting that his cameras picked up some people riding bikes on the trail around 4am. Maybe her body was placed in the woods at some point. Although the bike riders could have been people searching.

To clarify, I didn’t mean others were directly involved. I meant that unfortunately she was not in the company of very decent people. All JMO

Lily Peters update: Chippewa Falls police announce arrest of juvenile suspect

Chippewa Falls Police Chief Matthew Kelm said the suspect was not a stranger and that tips from the community led to the arrest.

"First and most importantly, earlier this evening we arrested a juvenile suspect in this case," he said during a news briefing at 6:30 p.m. local time. "The suspect was not a stranger. The suspect was known to the victim. We do not believe there is any danger to the community at this time."

Liliana "Lily" Peters, 10, was reported missing by her father around 9 p.m. Sunday after she failed to return from her aunt’s house on North Grove Street, according to Kelm. Police served a search warrant at 422 North Grove Street on Tuesday, the chief said. Public records indicate the address has been linked to her relatives.

The question remains why? Why would a young boy kill someone known to them? What motivated him to snuff a little girls life right out of her? Anyone have any guesses? Do we know cod yet? I feel so bad for both families. I can’t imagine. I can only pray for healing and questions answered for her family’s sake.

The chief said during the presser earlier that the autopsy was in the process of being done so I don't think there is a COD yet. IMO

Very very sad. I just have to smh when you hear of juveniles being arrested for the murder of a child. Absolutely heartbreaking.
