Just found out about Jayme's safe return, and I'm absolutely overjoyed! May Jayme and her family live a better life now that they have the answers that they really deserved.
JP worked with Jayme's parents briefly as per the Associated Press article.
Perhaps they took him home for a meal - speculation by me.
The Latest: Suspect worked with teen's parents for a day
Hi! First post on this page. Have been following this case from day 1 thinking SO much about it. I just woke up (I'm in Sweden) to these news. Made this account because I just had to share that I'm so happy she was found alive! This is such a strange case and the trauma for this girl is so enormous. But it appears she has relatives that truly love her and hopefully with their support and also professional help she will heal. May the perps be put away in jail forever.

I think this can be where we run into issues with different people having different definition of things.
For example, I would call it a random crime if the victim does not know the perpetrator. (Doesn't mean that the perp hasn't done research on the victim.)
I know others would say it is only random if both the victim and perp have no idea who each other are.
I've also seen scholarly works stating there is no such thing as random crime, period.

I am so surprised that after what Jayme was through that she would have the courage to run out of that house into the woods and speak with and go with a stranger.
Kidnapping suspect Jake Patterson worked with Jayme Closs’ parents for a daySheriff stated there was no connection to Jenni0O - correct?
Sure hope we hear what the Barron connection is....I am going to speculate and say the casino...second guess: hospital
So he may have been living in the Barron area 3 years ago rather than Gordon area?I think the use of "worked with" in the headline could be misleading. He spent a single day at a plant with many employees three years ago. He may never have laid eyes on either of them.
Unless my ears deceived me, the original crime scene was not discussed in any detail in the presser today at ten a.m.there are two scene ....one the home the place of murders, the second where she was held. it is from the second that she left by foot
I posted the very same thing earlier this week. The person likely was passing through town and saw her, followed her to see where she lived and determined it would be safer to kill her parents and take her vs. an abduction during daylight hours. IMO.I don't understand why so many people are convinced that he had to have known the family or had some contact with them before he killed Jayme's parents and kidnapped her. Joseph Duncan didn't know the Groene family before he killed them and kidnapped Shasta and her brother. Also Jaycee Dugards kidnapper drove 150 miles from his home to find a girl to kidnap.
Sheriff specifically said 'she left the scene by foot' (starts around 27:54 of the press conference which is on youtube now:)

I didn't think he looked doughy his shoulders seem broad but maybe he is. I would think he would have prepared himself for this which means physically too. I liked what someone said, that he may lived in Barron for awhile since he had a job there.Arrogant! Yes!
I'm also not buying into the fact that he might have worked out. He looks doughy to me. Keep in mind how tiny Jayme was. Most people are going to appear "big" to her.
and it was 3 years ago. I can't see it.Thanks for that link! Though, it says that he worked at the huge Jennie-O plant for a day, not necessarily with the parents.
