This is key! Thankyouforbringing this up!

Our core personality develops at the age of 5-6 years of age in the absence of cognitive delays.
If anyone would like references to the risk factors for disorganization or disruption of normal, on-time personality development, I can get them and post them.

Is there a link that people had been going in and out during these 10-12weeks? Or in the past? Or is it vague?

People were wondering how he paid for it if the suspect didn't have a regular job.

First time poster but 88 day quiet follower who is overjoyed that JC is safe.

I shared the following on another forum and thought I’d provide my thoughts here too.

Sometimes we hear of anomalies in which electric or gas is administratively cancelled, but the provider may miss taking the necessary actions to restrict service.

In other cases, “customers” may take illegal actions to steal service. This is a known loss of revenue; many utilities are now working to identify offenders and take corrective action. Because many meters are still manually read (especially in rural WI) perhaps stolen electric / gas simply wasn’t noticed by the utility.

Lastly, during the winter months (Nov 1 - March) in WI, there is a moratorium and utility services that provide life -sustaining heat to certain demographics (including elederly and those who meet WI Public Service defines poverty thresholds) cannot be disconnected, even if bills go unpaid.

It looks like JTP’s residence may be serviced by East Central Energy, which is likely a small municipal / co-op utility, unlike larger generation/distribution/ transmission utilities that are well staffed and funded. I’d imagine ECE has older/less sophisticated distribution asset, metering, and monitoring technology.

Just my two cents from the cheap seats.

Even foreclosure you are not going to have heat or electric, someone has to pay that to keep the fires burning and buy food. Maybe he was on some sort of disability.
Or.... as LE is mentioning, he had planned this for some time. He may have worked previously and saved his money specifically for this "time off". It will be interesting to see if we hear about prior employments.

I guess he probably did. What is striking a wrong chord with me he is was having people over to the cabin while hiding Jayme. Did no one catch on? It’s so strange.

That sick nutcase in Cleveland, that had 3 women and a child, shackled in his basement, for a decade, used to have family over for dinners at his home, and no one noticed. One friend did wonder why his basement door was padlocked though.

does anyone else think its creepy that when the police picked up Jake Patterson they think he was driving around looking for Jayme?... did he think she would just get in the car with him?
LE recovered more than one gun and didn't mention where they found the guns. Perhaps he had a weapon in the car with him.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's on the autistic spectrum.
What does being on the spectrum imply for a person? ASD is considered a developmental and neurological disorder.

Thanks! I know someone asked the sheriff that, and I thought he said he believed there was water and electricity. I suppose there are other ways to earn money. He may have had some type of assistance or someone else was paying the bills. In many places, the utility company will not shut the power off due to non payment in the colder months. Imo

I am totally freaked. My children and grandchildren live in an area like this in MN.

I emailed my son and told him to fence the front yard and have the kids pkay in the back.

I don’t know what my teen ones , one of whom is the sane age as Jayme, can do about living in the woods.

I hope we get as much info as possible since we know it is not social media
We live in the middle of nowhere that is sparsely populated and do not let our children play out front unless we are out there. Idk, think we are a bit overprotective sometimes and then we hear about things like this.

Very true. I taught kindergarten for many years, and pretty much knew who the psychopath wannabes were by age 6.

Yeah that was my bad.

When you post something speculative, people invariably follow up with thoughts and questions. Then the speculation takes on a mind of its own, and theory becomes fact.

I made the an analogy involving a “yellow bicycle” early on in this case.

People then began talking about how a yellow bicycle was connected to this crime, and wanted to see MSM links.

It was a mess.
No worries. I've done similar and before I could delete or edit it had turned magically turned into fact and spread like wildfire. Good time to remind myself to be add JMO at least 5 times.

Do we know for sure she wasn’t involved in her own parents deaths?

He'll never get out of prison. Cutting a plea deal that maybe reduces three life sentences w/o parole to two life sentences w/o parole would still keep him locked up.

JMO

He will *never* get out of prison and that is the only silver lining here.

Any suggestions for protection if you do not want a gun in the house?

Security cameras, monitored alarm, dog. Apple Watch too, with location/GPS enabled The Series 4 can detect heart abnormalities and falls, and will alert police if either is detected.

Creepy and yes, he probably did.
