Found Deceased WI - Jeffrey Maldonado, 24, seen leaving club in an Uber, Green Bay, 8 Feb 2020

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) -- The Green Bay Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a missing 24-year-old man.

Police say Jeffrey Maldonado was last seen getting into an Uber to head downtown Green Bay.

He is described as a Hispanic man, with black hair and brown eyes, about 5’7” and 150 pounds.

Maldonado's family tells Action 2 News he was last seen leaving Club 9-Twenty in Green Bay on February 8th around 2:23 a.m and that he never made it to his aunt's house where he was staying. His family also states he has not been on social media or contacted anyone since then either.

The family also tells Action 2 News that they are heart-broken, worried, and are desperate to know where he is.

If you had contact with Jeffrey Maldonado in the last 24-48 hours, you are asked to contact the Green Bay Police Department immediately at 920-448-3208 and ask for Detective Kempf regrading case #20-201845.

Police say Maldonado is not in any trouble, they just want him to contact his family to let them know he is safe.

Looks like only about a mile away from where he was last seen an hour earlier. That's a long time to wander a short distance unless he was pretty inebriated. It could be a long time for whoever fell in to surface and be found with the cold water and weather.

Just an FYI - there seems to be some confusion in the media reports on the last seen and the Uber ride. My take on them is that this man took an Uber the night of Feb 7th to the downtown club where he was then seen leaving (by security cam?) at bar time Feb 8th (per his family.) I think the family reported to police the Feb 7 Uber ride to downtown, then later got the info about him leaving the club, and either the police or media reporting confused the two.
So, IMO, not an Uber when leaving the club, meaning it might be more likely he was the man who fell into the river an hour later. (Of course, he could have also gotten an Uber when leaving the club and was not on foot to fall in the river.)
