Family of woman missing from La Crosse for over three years not giving up hope

A family is continuing to ask for help as they hope information can come forward about the whereabouts of a missing family member.

- Ellie Golembiewski and her family traveled from Neillsville in Clark County to La Crosse to ask for the continuation of help across western Wisconsin of finding her daughter, Jennifer Peterson.

It has been well over three years since Peterson was last heard from on September 27, 2022, in La Crosse where she resided.

Police investigated the case for a little more than a year before closing it.

“They even went to Iowa to speak with the person she was going to go meet. There’s no evidence that she ever left La Crosse,” says Golembiewski.

“We miss her a lot, and there’s just too many humans around here to not know any answers. It’s just really tough. Hopefully somebody has some sort of information. We would appreciate it,” says Jennifer’s brother, Adam Peterson.

The La Crosse Police Department encourages anyone with information to contact them or the La Crosse Area Crime Stoppers.

Peterson’s family also encourages families across Wisconsin who are also looking for missing family members to contact the Wisconsin Missing Persons Advocacy, a nonprofit organization that raises awareness for missing people.
