John Thomas Wallenkamp was last seen in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin in the Town of Arena on October 27th, 2021.​

John is a white male, 5’10”, and 200 pounds. He has red/auburn hair and hazel eyes. It is not known what he was last seen wearing.

His vehicle was left at his residence.

Iowa County Emergency Management, along with local fire and EMS, conducted ground, drone and K-9 searches in the Town of Blue Mounds and have been unable to locate John. An Endangered Alert was issued by law enforcement in November of 2021.

John was 62 years old when he went missing.

NamUs said he went missing from his home in arena in the text, but at the top of his NamUs page it says “missing from blue mounds.” I went to the Iowa county sheriff’s page and it’s not helpful.

Ok, I'm going to clear this up since I finally figured it out. HE is not missing from the TOWN of Blue Mounds, there's a Blue Mounds state park within the town of Arena.

I researched via obituaries. I believe he was married to Sandra, and had a son Ja****. Per circuit court case searches, John’s address was Blue Mounds, but Ja****’s was Arena. Ja****’s circuit court case search linked. John’s circuit court case search linked.

The thing is, Blue Mounds is a town in Dane County. I think when they say that John went missing from Blue Mounds, they don't mean a town. They mean Blue Mounds State Park, which is in Iowa County. He was out hunting, although they think he's now in Fox Valley (or they did, two years ago). Arena is a town in Iowa County that I believe the Wallenkamps all lived.

What do you folks think, I want to give a heads up to hunters who intend to go into Blue Mounds at the start of hunting season they should look for remains. Given he was lost in 2021, unless he left again they'd be looking for remains. Do you think I should still add his description?
