Mke , who knows him currently, also said he was a liar and thought he was smarter than LE. He was also cheating on his girlfriend when this went down. Inherently creepy.

Thanks. Yeah, it's bizarre, especially since my graduating class was very small. The consensus among classmates seems to be overwhelmingly that he was sketchy, a liar, thought he was smarter than everyone else, sneaky, and a narcissist. Not that anyone would have predicted this, but many were not too surprised. In addition to Kelly and her family, I feel bad for his high school girlfriend. That's a horrible thing to discover about someone you once loved.

Oh my gosh FiveFelines, I can't even imagine the emotions you must be feeling. It must be driving you crazy trying to look back and think of every little detail you remember about KZ, and if anything indicated the evil he was capable of doing. Who would ever think someone they know could turn into a monster?

You're right, nobody could have predicted what happened. I too feel badly for all involved.

Sadly there is an old law in Wisconsin that allows any family member can help another family member after a crime has been committed. Such as help hide that criminal or help depose of any evidence.

Wisconsin’s law (Chapter 946.47) that prohibits aiding or harboring felons provides an exception for the felon’s closest relatives.

But none of the lawmakers can explain why it has been law for over 50 years. They are trying to remove it now.

I only bring this up because there is a possibility that KZ's mother could have helped afterwards - either right after the crime was committed or after his arrest.

I know how you feel, I've been thinking the same thing. I think KZ may have made the type of admission like "I'm involved, but I can't tell you anything so you can't tell anything" admission. Of course, all just speculation on my part.

Interesting interview from KZ's ex jailmate. He's no longer in jail and isn't getting anything in return for turning over the information about KZ. He turned over pages of notes of his conversations with Zocco to Milwaukee police, who say they’re taking the information very seriously.

From the interview:
But at some point she made her way to Zocco’s home, where, according to court documents, the couple got high and had sex.
“He made a comment that she was ‘speedballing’ and that she had got wasted,” said the inmate.
While in jail, Zocco allegedly said Kelly would never be found — and he referred to her in the past tense.

He has a half brother but he is decades younger than him and lives out of state. Essentially he is an only child.

"Zocco is not charged with the disappearance of his girlfriend, Kelly Dwyer, but her family continues to show up in court and accuse him of knowing something about what happened to her." (as written)

IMO the above paragraph is way out of line. Who wrote the article? No name?
Get a clue and read the warrants ghost.

What the? What's the matter with the people in Milwaukee? No one is commenting under the articles, no one seems to care (versus Heather Elvis case out of Myrtle Beach, SC) about this young woman's murder.
