A reporter SHOULD have asked, "What were the number of reported missing females from 1968 until 2007 and how many of those were found alive?"

How many since 1998 ? When the Route 29 highway was being put in? Wi & Mi ?

I don't know when the last time you've been to town, but there is an additional parking ramp across University Ave. from the Lake St./Frances St. ramp. Kitty corner to the Nitty Gritty.

The Taj Garage - built in 97/98. I wouldn't call that close to Memorial Union, but it's another possibility. If we count that, then the parking under Grainger could be counted too. But both are pretty far from Gilman.

The reporters aren't doing their job! Here...the reporters would be all over this case. They would already have reported on her past boyfriends, they would already know the answers to many questions I have presented, and would be hot on the trail of many questions the public wants to know. :waitasec: I don't understand why they aren't going after this story either. LE can't silence the press...so why have they taken a leave of absence on this one?

SS this is Wis they could care less about informing anyone about anything.

With our weekly paper you'd be able to find out who locally was arrested & for what /speeding tickets & dui's but never for anything important.

Totally ridiculous!!!! Can write to the papers & they don't care. To lazy to earn pay checks!

I guess that UW doesn't have much of a Journalism school? (Ducking and running now...)

Altho...saw last night a millionaire from UW who created the TurboTap for a better way to serve beer. Go figure!

Seriously, I fully expected to hear SOME news by today! This case hopefully isn't headed where the others have...into the cold case bin.

UW-Whitewater is a ghost town in the summer. In the past the student newspaper here at UWW does not publish in the summer. This summer I think they have a few issues. I haven't read them though. The Whitewater paper is a small town newspaper. I don't watch the news in Wisconsin, I pick up the Chicago news stations. The last time I watched the local news, the LEAD story was dog bone safety. NOT KIDDING!! I am all for dog's being safe but isn't there something else to report, like the war in Iraq?!

Hmmm...soooo you have a real problem with unsafe dog bones in WI?! Do they want to live with their heads in the sand about issues such as...oh...I don't know...22 year olds getting murdered or 21 year olds going missing? Or the war in Iraq? Dog bones, you say!

SS, Wi News media has honestly got to be the worst in the world for reporting any happenings. Could be headline news one day & you never hear anything else about it.

Kind of like saying if we sweep it under the carpet the people will go away.

I do hope they change their views. Things don't just go away...they happen in your backyard then you wonder where it came from one day when all the time...it was happening in your neighbor's yard. You can't confront issues until you know what they are. The media is doing a disservice to the community, IMO.

"Madison Police Chief Noble Wray said there appears to be no connections between Nolan's death and the recent disappearance of a UW-Green Bay student." This is just incredible and so wrong. If they haven't even tried to connect the two women, how do they know?

Greta: Saying a crime was commited other than murder on the road, then she was dragged 25 ft off the road. No signs of death (gunshot, stabbed, etc) That was it.

I wonder what that means?! I will try to catch Greta later tonite I guess. I don't understand.

They can't connect Kelly Nolan's case to another...until they find the other. Simple. No evidence. No witnesses. No reason to connect them in LE's opinion.

HELLO! THEY ARE MISSING!!

They said the Tate women's church meeting was abt two miles from State St. Was State St mentioned in connection with Kelly?

  • #638
Yes, it was basically the same area. Still...the rest doesn't fit in the Tate case yet.

However, the case with Xiong seems to me to have the most connection.

They can't connect anything if they don't attempt to solve the crime!

I finally did see Greta last night. Serial killer? was splashed across the screen. Finally, someone is questioning it! She didn't have much new except that they are saying Kelly was dragged 25 ft. and "something else" happened there. (Reading between the lines, I would think rape.) They also said there was no apparent outward signs of the murder (ie. stabbing, shooting, etc.) which does surprise me a bit considering what they said when they first found her body. This would lean towards her being strangled (altho I would think there would be marks), smothered, or drugged. I can't think of anything else which would cause Kelly's death and not leave signs.
