In 2023, Dodge’s brother came forward and said his brother had been missing since May 1993.

DNA Doe Project team co-leaders said that upon learning John Doe was Native American, they were able to confirm the Dodge’s identity by narrowing the search within a family tree and reaching out to potential relatives to take DNA tests.

Dodge was born on Dec. 27, 1952, at the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, Wisconsin.

The facial reconstruction was overall done well. I definitely see the resemblance, especially in the mouth shape. At the same time though if I’d known Dodge I probably wouldn’t look at that reconstruction and know it was him. It’s really interesting how individual facial features can be similar but not add up to the same overall look of a face.

I’m glad his brother and his cousins were able to provide info about who he was as a person and to ultimately have him buried in the place he called home.

I thought so too. I kinda wish when images are done, they’d give a few other hairstyles. The sparse, short hair made him look so much older.
