Missing Person Investigation

The Fitchburg, Wisconsin - Police Department is investigating a missing person report & is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Lashay Nicole Mitchell. Lashay is a 24 year old African American female, weighing approximately 120 lbs. & is approximately 5’4”. Lashay has brown eyes & black shoulder-length hair. She was last seen on January 24th, 2019 with her hair braided into a ponytail & wearing black leggings & black boots.

Lashay is also with her 9 month old daughter who was last seen wearing a pink snowsuit.

If Lashay is seen or located we are asking that the public contact the Fitchburg Police Department at 608-270-4300.

"Mitchell’s brother Dion Mitchell said Leshay, 25, left their sister’s residence in the Greenway Cross neighborhood of Fitchburg on Wednesday, January 23, to go to Walmart to get some things for her nine-month-old baby Serena."

"Dion Mitchell said he heard from someone in Milwaukee, who did not give a name, that Lashay and Serena may have been seen at an office in Milwaukee on Tuesday. He said there is no history of mental illness, though, he said, 'she’s been going through a lot since our mother passed.'"

"Dion Mitchell said Lashay’s phone has been off and she hasn’t been communicating online with her family as she usually does."
