Family known for fundraising for epilepsy research reports daughter is missing
Police say they are searching for 23-year-old Lily Giroux, who was last seen at State Street Brats in Downtown Madison at 11:45 p.m. Saturday.
Giroux's mother said in a Facebook post that Giroux didn't come home Saturday night after going out to a bar with a friend. She was last seen wearing a red T-shirt and a black down coat. She had a Wisconsin W on her cheek.
Giroux was diagnosed with epilepsy as a child, which prompted her parents to found the successful Lily's Fund for epilepsy research, which hosts the popular annual Lily's Luau.
