The only person I found missing from Marathon County in recent years is a 14 year old girl who went missing in October 2015.

Preliminary results of the autopsy show that the body was of an Asian male approximately 30-years-old. There are also signs that show the death may have been a suicide. Investigators do have a potential name for the man. However, they are continuing to follow leads to positively identify the person and the cause of death.

This is the only missing person I aware of who is missing from Central WI that could possibly fit the criteria.

"Sgt. Dave Lund said Appleton police received calls following Wednesday’s news release that John Lee had gone missing on June 21, but none of the leads panned out.
“We are not calling the disappearance suspicious,” Lund said in an email to Post-Crescent Media. “There are simply a number of unanswered questions. We hope with public assistance to answer some of those questions.”

DNA testing has revealed the identity of a man found dead in Rib Mountain State Park last month.

Hunters found the body of 30-year-old David Yang of Rib Mountain in a wooded area on the morning of November 17th. It’s not known how long his body was there, but investigators from the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department said he was last seen by his brother on August 30th.
