Identified! WI - Milwaukee -Woman's Body Rolled in Carpet in Alley, Apr 2018

The body of a woman was found rolled in a carpet on Milwaukee's south side Monday evening.

The unidentified woman was found outside in the 1100 block of W. Burnham St., according to police. The cause of death is unknown.

The medical examiner was called out to the scene on Monday, April 16. It's unclear how long the woman may have been there.

Ramos said he walked out of his home to find police officers outside his door.

"There's always commotion going on around here, but never a body in the alley. Something I've never experienced before in this area," said Ramos.

Police said a neighbor walking by saw the person and called MPD. Investigators spent quite a bit of time in an alley in the area.

The woman has been identified, but her name has not been released because her family is still being notified, a police spokeswoman said.
