This case is giving me McFadden case vibes. Just imo.

This is so sad for the victims and their loved ones.

McFadden case is right @vls12345. Same vibe here. Horrible case where a stepdad murdered wife, stepchildren, and stepdaughter's teen friends who were having a sleepover. He killed 7 people all told (including himself). If I remember rightly he had raped the girls and there was meth and a bunch of bondage type material around the home.

On May 1, 2023, Jesse McFadden shot and killed six people before killing himself in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, near the town of Henryetta. That day McFadden had been set to have a jury trial for other charges he faced, but after he did not appear his body and those of his victims were discovered at his home.

Police say McFadden shot and killed his wife Holly McFadden, 35; Holly's three children Tiffany Guess, 13; Michael Mayo, 15; and Rylee Allen, 17, as well as Tiffany's friends Ivy Webster, 14, and Brittany Brewer, 15; furthermore, he sexually assaulted Webster and Brewer, and all victims had been shot in the head, some multiple times, according to an autopsy report. He then killed himself with a shot to the head. McFadden had been scheduled for a jury trial that day for further sex offenses; the bodies were discovered hours before the trial was to begin. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol had issued an Amber Alert for Webster and Brewer only hours before they were found among the dead. Police have stated that the shootings were perpetrated with a 9mm handgun that had been purchased by Holly in January 2022.

“NEW LISBON, Wis. (WXOW) - New Lisbon Police said Monday that they're working with the FBI and US Marshals Service in the hunt for Virgil Thew in connection with the deaths of three people last month.”

Per that article he was seen near Orange Road and McEwen Road, just northwest of New Lisbon. Here’s a general area map.

So he was caught on a trail camera “on a logging road” the day before the bodies were discovered but while the daughter was missing. He was carrying supplies of some sort. He was also seen at Dollar General before the bodies were discovered. Gathering supplies? He ditched a vehicle near New Lisbon, near that logging road.

So IMO he killed them, and then supplied up and put his supplies somewhere that he had to walk to. I’m convinced he’s still in the area.

They searched with drones and found nothing (no tents I’d presume). I’d bet that every random HEATED outbuilding has been checked. It’s cold, very cold. So he either needs to be somewhere heated OR somewhere that he can heat it by making a fire.

That’s how I concluded that he is in a cave. I knew that area has caves, so I did a Google search and found that You Tube video. Then I researched the family tree of the commenter and found that one male relative is within three years of age of Thew. If Thew went to New Lisbon HS, then they were in high school at the same time. I’d bet that cave was a known party spot back then.

On Dec. 30, two girls and a 33-year-old woman were all found deceased at a home in New Lisbon. Thew was charged in each homicide.

“Skyla Sorenson was found dead and allegedly one of Thew’s child victims. She was related to the other child victim.

“Her parents shared emotional words on the devastation their 13-year-old daughter’s death has caused the family.

“It’s been really hard for the family. It’s been really hard, you know, to deal with the tragedy of the loss of of her and her cousin,” Pamela Sorenson, Skyla Sorenson’s stepmother, said.””

not sure if he is in the cave you shared but I am pretty darn sure the supplies stop at DG was about preparing to hunker down, maybe in the woods or somewhere in the general vicinity to try to hide til things cool down.

It’s very concerning that he might have a long gun if some sort, and that he’s posted anti-LE posts here and there in FB posts in the past. I’m pretty worried about a possible shoot out when they do find him. It’s scary stuff.

17 minutes (by car) just down the road a piece from New Lisbon. Very glad to know he is in custody and no longer an armed threat running loose. Justice for his victims.
