Has served a few years in jail here and there, but he seems to usually get away with everything.

I've learned to copy and paste my writeups on WS's to an open email BEFORE I post, that way if it disappears, I'll have a copy. lol

Actually, the person in question you mentioned didn't "get away with everything." He was sentenced to prison (Fox Lake Correctional Institute) for 18 months after investigators accused him of withholding prescription medications from two women to force them to perform sexual acts. He pleaded no contest in January, 2007 to a felony charge of possession of prescription drugs with intent to deliver, and as part of a plea agreement, 15 other counts of the same charge and two counts of causing a person to practice prostitution were dismissed.

Interestingly, according to WCCA, (his second former wife, the one he married when he was 46 and she was 24 and who now records show may live in Union Grove), was living only four houses away as late as 1998 on 7 Mile Road from, (west of) the RJD and Casberg body sites on 92nd St. According to old newspaper advertisements, he had also once lived on 8 Mile Road, just west of the 8 Mile Road Bridge where Casberg's other body parts were first found.

Maybe there's some DNA still in that old "trailer" that might match up with RJD? Maybe she was one of his "homeless clients/boarders" or the child of one? Going through a bankruptcy and divorce in 1999 could set someone off. As I've said before, there are probably more bodies buried on 92nd St. You can't report your kid missing when you're dead yourself. It's not unheard of to kill the mother so you can abuse the child unrestrained. Then, when you get tired of her, beat her to death and dump her. That's how these soulless people think.

I might attribute RJD to the above person but not SMC. I'm pretty convinced as to who that other person is based on my research.

I have a photo of the right leg of SMC. (I don't think the other one was ever found, or part of it wasn't, anyways) The right leg was the one found at the 8 Mile Road Bridge. It was floating half in-half out of the water, wrapped in pages of the June 24, 1969 issue of the Milwaukee Sentinel newspaper. (In case you're wondering if there is anything significant about that issue, I already checked, there isn't, at least, anything that I found. It's online in Google Newspaper archives if you want to check)

On the upper inner thigh, the photo shows a several inch section of skin and flesh crudely cut out of the leg in a half-moon shape, this grisly "dissection" was something that was never mentioned in the news. You can even see the section where the flap of cut skin and flesh was torn off. I wonder if any of RJD's wounds were similar to that wound?

Racine Jane Doe's ears were double-pierced. Nothing that I've read stated whether there were actually earrings in her ears when she was found. Does anyone know?

Both of Stephanie Casberg's ears had also been pierced for earrings, but only one was found; a pendulum-type, triangular-shaped bronze earring with a blue stone still dangling from the left ear. That one had no identifying marks on it. The other one was missing from the right ear and was never found after a search.

Since it was an earring for a pierced ear, there were only two ways the earring could have come off. It was either ripped off or taken off by the killer as a trophy.

Does anyone know whether that earring was ripped off or just removed?

Another item that was missing was a slipper. Only one brown slipper was found in the area of the bridge. That item was bagged and tagged as evidence. Could the other missing brown slipper also have taken as a trophy?

Jerome Henry Brudos aka "The Lust Killer" and "The Shoe Fetish Slayer" was arrested May 25, 1969 for murdering four women in 1968 and 1969. His trophies included women's shoes and eventually the left foot of one victim.

Part of Casberg's left leg was never found. News reports don't say what part, at least in the 50+ articles I've read. Could the killer of Casberg have read about and been influenced by the Brudos murders? Could this be a copycat murder?

Were there traces of any prescription drugs found in RJD's system?

Could the killer of Casberg have read about and been influenced by the Brudos murders? Could this be a copycat murder?

https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=wZJMF1LD7PcC&dat=19690707&printsec=frontpage&hl=en

The exact same day that Stephanie Casberg went missing after work, July 7, 1969, the headlines of the Milwaukee Sentinel, in huge capital letters, read "Latest Victim Probed Other Deaths, COED SLAYING SUSPECT HELD" in the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti co-ed murders in Michigan.

On page 12 of that article, it reads, "Unlike the pattern of the other six victims, all shapely, long haired brunettes, ranging in age from 13 to 23, Miss Phillips was shot in her apartment. The bodies of the others were found in isolated lovers' lane areas, generally a day or two after they were slain."

"Two of the victims - the first and second -also were slain around the Fourth of July holiday."

Could those type of headlines have had some influence on the killer's actions if he had read the newspaper article and was formulating some plan on how to dispose of the body? It seemed so with the recent news articles on the "Lust Killer" Jerome Henry Brudos, in which several of his victims were also thrown off bridges, as were Casberg's remains. Because Racine Jane Doe was found only 1,300 feet from Casberg's other remains on the same side of the road on 92nd St. in the Town of Raymond, Wisconsin, tells me that RJD's killer was also influenced by Casberg's murder to dump RJD's body near Casberg's on the 30th anniversary of her death, but ony for another reason; to mislead LE into thinking it was the Casberg killer at work again.

In another publication, a 21 page article about the Stephanie Casberg murder, titled, Wisconsin's No. 1 Murder Mystery, it states, "As dusk darkened the area and night approached, Sheriff Blessinger said he believed the killer was someone familiar with the section (of the bridge).

"Whoever dumped the body parts here would have to know his way around," said Sheriff Blessinger. "This is such an isolated spot that it would be difficult for the killer to get to unless he knew the area."

Also in the article it states that the road grader operator who had first summoned the Racine County Sheriff's Department to the scene said that the area around the condemned bridge (which was closed off with snow fencing June 20 because it was unsafe). He also stated that it was very popular as a lover's lane and that it was not unusual for couples who wanted to use the area to remove the snow fencing barricades so they could drive through (to the secluded area near the bridge).

Dr. Myron Schuster, a pathologist at St. Mary's Hospital in Racine, who was also at the scene with the sheriff, said, after a four hour preliminary autopsy, that the victim had been dead 24 to 48 hours before the body was found July 9th.

Racine Jane Doe and body parts of Stephanie Marie Casberg were found only 1,300 feet from each other, yet that significant fact (significant to me, anyways) was never revealed in the newspapers or by LE.

You can even see the section where the flap of cut skin and flesh was torn off. I wonder if any of RJD's wounds were similar to that wound?

When I wrote the above comment about the upper right leg, I hadn't yet compared it to the actual July 24, 1969 article in the Racine Journal Times. When I did compare them, I noticed a "slight" discrepancy in the article that didn't line up with my comment.

Can anybody spot it?

http://s296.photobucket.com/user/pleasestandby2/media/rightleg_zpslmdejprg.jpg.html

It specifically states...

"Still unaccounted for are the girl's entire left leg and her right leg from the knee to the hip." The article further states, "The intensive investigation into Miss Casberg's death began July 9 when her severed head, arms and right leg from the knee down were found wrapped in newspaper..."

The July 24, 1969 issue of the Racine Journal Times specifically states, "Still unaccounted for are the girl's entire left leg and her right leg from the knee to the hip."

The article further states, "The intensive investigation into Miss Casberg's death began July 9 when her severed head, arms and right leg from the knee down were found wrapped in newspaper..."

That is a total fabrication.

Below is a rough draft of an article written by William T. Brannon titled Wisconsin's No. 1 Murder Mystery. This article is in .pdf format and requires a reader like Acrobat Reader to view it. It is titled Brannon-Casberg.pdf and is readible by clicking on it.

I believe this article appeared later in True Detective Magazine sometime after the murder. This article is archived in the W. T. Brannon Collection at a Florida university and is in the public domain.

Accompanying the article in the archives is a notation and a black and white morgue photo of Casberg's upper right leg. The color photo is a colorized photo of that B&W. The third photo is a blowup of the mutilated part of the inner right thigh.

https://samepage.io/app/#!/9fdbe0de7fb24a7e73a3067af28e1b909fd95798/page-274779837909787835-wisconsin-s-no-1-murder-mystery

This photographic evidence shows that the evidence that was given in the newspapers is totally false. (If the "leg switcheroo" evidence was withheld in the event that a future false confession was made that only the killer could know, then why release photographic evidence to a national crime writer that's in direct conflict to already released statements?

The article also contains information about other evidence that conflicts with evidence mentioned in the newspapers in 1969 and 1970.

In light of this new evidence, it brings new questions:

What is the link between the Racine Jane Doe case and the Stephanie Casberg case since their bodies were found only 1,300 feet from each other? Is it just mere coincidence?

Why were some of the facts (possibly more) of the Casberg murder purposely altered in the media and why was the public deceived and led to believe that only dismemberment occurred when actually it was a mutilation and dismemberment murder?

Can this mutilation evidence be compared to mutilation evidence in other unsolved mutilation murders that have occurred over the years?

Why has Casberg's case been swept under the rug for well over 45 years without so much as an update and where is her official website outlining her ghastly murder?

Why was the Casberg case given to the MPD instead of remaining with the RCSD when there was no evidence that the murder occurred in Milwaukee County?

Why wasn't Casberg's body ever disinterred for further DNA evidence?

Well, I guess I'm done talking to myself on this thread for awhile.

Maybe you should put this on Casberg's thread, or start one if she doesn't already have one. Cold Cases would be the best place. Because most of what you've said has no bearing on identifying RJD.

No bearing? lol. Yeah, no possibility of serial killers in this scenario. Solving one case with all the real facts surely couldn't solve the other. It would be unheard of. You're right, Cold Cases or Barnes and Noble.

It certainly could be a serial killer. But how does that help us identify this woman?

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/r/rawhouser_ambretta.html

As I posted on Facebook, I think Ambretta, facially, looks a lot like Carl's recon, specifically the left photo.

Everything absolutely fits up, except for the teeth. Same exact height, eye color. For weight, Racine was starved, so she would have lost weight. Ambretta's hair was not highlighted but it wouldn't have been hard to do. The only wrong thing is her teeth. Although none of her dentals, DNA or fingerprints are in, as Carl said, her teeth look straighter than RCJD's.

Does anyone else see the resemblance?

I think she could have been from Winnipeg. Winnipeg is the most violent city in Canada, with a high crime rate. In 1999-2001, meth cooks in Central Valley were worried because DEA had put a ban on cold medicine sales. Cold medicine sales have pseudoephedrine, which they would sell to meth labs. Pseudoephedrine was not banned in Canada, so the meth cooks would buy pseudoephedrine imported from Canada. You can read more about it at: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/meth/etc/cron.html
(Also, a lot of people have said she may have had “meth mouth”, with very poor dentition, damage possibly from drug use).

Winnipeg has lots of Indian reservations. A lot of people on here think she looks at least part Native American, and I have to agree. She has very Indian American features. Another clue, I think, is in her shirt. The floral pattern reminds me of Metis or Ojibwe clothing; of course, the shirt was widely distributed throughout USA during 1984, but I’m sure not everyone living on the reservation has the time to meticulously embroider such patterns and settled for that shirt. I wonder if it could have been her father’s, since it was a men’s shirt, a hand me down.

It would have been very easy to cross the border in 1999 since it was before 9/11. I believe she and maybe a companion, such as a boyfriend, could have driven on I-94 to either Milwaukee or Chicago to sell pseudoephedrine to meth cooks there. I believe that there, a drug deal had gone bad, and I think it ended up with her being held captive in exchange for meth. There, they ritually abused her in hopes of getting what they wanted, but when they didn’t, (as in her final days), the abuse escalated, resulting in her being murdered. Her boyfriend was aware of this, but was sworn to secrecy after being threatened with death (if she had one there). They dumped her in Raymond as a quick place.

Let me know what you think. This checks out, albeit a bit complicated.

Anyhow, I think it will be worth looking into. If anyone has Canadian contacts (specifically with Winnipeg, though I would not dismiss Ontario either) and could pass Carl’s recon around, I think that would be good. I know Canadian does not have NamUs, but if it reached the right people, DNA, dentals, or fingerprints might strike up a match.

Also I think she did not have access to meth during her captivity, but I'd still be curious to know if a tox report was completed--from my understanding, there never was one. However, I think it's common at an autopsy, so there may have been one. Why, though, would be the results not be publicized?

A few months back during the summertime, I made a Facebook page for Racine County Jane Doe. I ceased using it after I discovered an official page for her was made by the sheriff's office, but they very rarely visit it, so I want to post more on the page.

Here's the link. If you could like and share it, and/or have any suggestions to add, it would be much appreciated.

Also: I created a hashtag (# followed by abbreviations) for her. It's #justice4rcjd . I am worried that this may sound as if it is cheapening a tragedy; however, seeing as this is the most recent UID case I work actively on, I believe her family and friends are likely alive. And, also, likely on Facebook.

If my posts could be shared with #justice4rcjd at the end, or if you make posts of your own about her, please consider adding it at the end. Thanks!

I submitted Ambretta Luanna Rawhouser as a possible match. I know her teeth look different but she has such a strong facial resemblance I kind of overlooked it.

 • #657
Maybe Amber Potts-Jaffrey? The thing that kept me from submitting it is the time window--11 years.

 • #658
Detective Tracy is very nice--she answered my inquiry quickly. She also sees a strong resemblance. She promised to go through the data this weekend and get back to me, which I really appreciate.

I think it could be her. Like CarlK said her teeth don't like "bucktoothed" but the photo doesn't show her teeth that well. I think it's worth a try.

Is this who you're talking about?
http://doenetwork.org/cases/312dfon.html

I personally don't find the time frame to be too problematic because she had a history of running away...it's entirely possible she ran away to the U.S. Height, weight, age, hair color, and eye color all match up really nicely. The only issue I see is that she typically kept in touch with people and apparently no one has heard from her, which might indicate she met with foul play. However, I wouldn't rule her out based on that.

Great find!
