Yes, April 14th is sentencing.

Let's hope with the sentencing there will be some healing for everyone involved.

I will maintain my position that the state was harsh in their dealings with Mr. Humphreys-I am not minimizing the loss of Mr. A. I personally believe, using the media as a reference, that there were mitigating factors here.

I agree with you 100%. I guess only time will tell.

Believe - Since I'm new at this posting, are we individually given a warning if something we post is unacceptable? Nothing has been modified in my posts so far, so I thought I was okay. But... I shouldn't be assuming anything I guess. Thank you!

The general rule of thumb is yes-there are just a few mods however and 37K posters, so sometimes it is too busy. If you have any questions, PM a mod. You can find the hat name under "forum leaders" in the forum.

A post can be removed if it quotes a post that is against TOS. Just as an example, but the key is that we dont discussed posts that have been removed from the thread or posters that have been moderated. We just sail on, make sense?

Makes sense! Thank you for your help!

I guess I'm too old to know what it stands for nowadays. I have never had any "intentions" in this blog, and I would have something against anyone who did the things Mr. Hall admitted he has done in this case, and have no consequences to pay - I've not singled him out in any way. As I've stated NUMEROUS times, it just bothered me that Mr. Hall could do the things he's done in connection with THIS crime and get complete immunity. In my opinion it is completely wrong. If I was the victims' family in NO WAY would I be GRATEFUL to Mr. Hall. I didn't post the links to "bother" you. In the quote above you asked me to "back up" the words that I said. I didn't immediately because I didn't want to disturb you with those, but I was compelled to add the links after your latest blog. There was never any question that Mr. Humphrey was going to have his day in court, so I was fine with that and his past didn't concern me because he was going to pay for his current crime. The only reason I ever Googled Mr. Hall was because you protested so much I thought there had to be more to the story with him - and I was right. So as you can see by the links, there's nothing "laughable" about Mr. Hall's record. It's very sad. You say that people are "lying" on here. Could you please point those quotes out to me? About the two shots, I just didn't remember if anyone had stated that besides Hall, and I didn't want to go back through all the links to find out, that's why I asked the question. It's definitely a terrible thing that Mr. Humphrey did, but it's also a terrible thing that Mr. Hall did. No disrespect intended, but in my opinion your just too close to see that.

This person is talking about me. In the beginning of this blog, I was given information about Mr Hall by a very, very very reliable person. Instead of trying to explain who told me everything I was told, and how they said it- I simply said that I knew this information, and I knew Hall. I wish I had not done that, and I'm sorry to all the posters of this blog. However, my information was correct and I stand by what I have said througout this forum. However, due to the fact that I have personally been sought out in a way that I find threatening and intrusive and in REAL LIFE by a person on this blog. So I can admit my wrongs, and I sure hope this person stops her illegal behavior.

I understand completely. I'd still like to know what lies have been posted, if you ever can. There always is "more involved here behind the scenes". For us that aren't close to this situation, it would be interesting for us to know the "outright lies" on this blog. This is all so very, very sad - tragic! Good Luck.

I have no idea what she is speaking of about "behind the scenes", as everything is on CCAP and it's all been resolved with Jim's guilty plea. Unfortunately, justice has not been served, in my opinion. Hall is still walking free.

ETA: The lies she speaks of are supposed to be mine. I did tell people I "Knew" mr Hall. I do not know him well. I know OF him. However, I am VERY close to the people involved here, and people who do know Hall well. I was given information about him, and instead of taking the time to explain how I came about the information (I didn't want to involve people who didn't WANT to be involved) I just said that I knew him. I should have told the truth about that and I'm sorry. If she's talking about anything else I"ve said- I've told the GODS honest truth!

<mod snip>

I've done my best to own up to my "lies"... and the rest I think she's talking about were mr Hall's criminal record. Someone posted it as 'proof' of what they were saying after they were asked for proof. She didn't like that and thought that it was misrepresented. I don't like to speak for another person, but that was my understanding of it.

If anyone has any further questions from me, please PM me. I'm going to stay away from here- at least until sentencing. I'm not happy about being contacted in person, after that person shouldn't even have known how to reach me. Very creepy.

mssheila: I never thought for one second that anything you said were "lies". I agree with you 100%, justice is not being served and Hall should NOT BE WALKING THE STREETS! IMO - he sounds like a menace to society. Your friend continues to be in my prayers! I pray for leniency. Also, I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around. If Hall cannot be impeached and have his deal removed from the table, he'll get what he rightfully has coming in some other way.

  • #152
I agree, wtf, and I just want to say one more thing. Hall is only under immunity unless he can be impeached. And ya never know! Someone just might know something!!!

  • #153
I agree. I think in one of my earlier posts I mentioned something about that. I'm certain someone, somewhere must know something.

I'm actually certain there is someone who knows where that gun is. However, whether they'll impeach Hall is questionable. Hall knows for sure.

Yup, that's for sure. Someone has to know where it is. Did I read on one of the threads on here, maybe somewhere else, that he has a relative who is on the police force there? Again, this is all just so very sad.

Jim isnt exactly related to him, but he married Jim's ex wife... That was the ex that he had his only child. (Jim loves that young man). Anyway, Jim was in touch with his ex wife and her husband- the cop- while co-parenting his son.

That's the police deputy that Jim confided what he had done to... As I understand, he said something like 'I didnt realize I had hit anyone, I was just trying to scare them). Not sure, so don't quote me. But he did say something 'like that' to the deputy/ex wife's hubby.

Can you show some concrete link or doc that shows this relationship and that this was the detective he confided in? TIA...

ETA: I would think that Jim knows where the gun is as well...or am I missing something here?

Mr. Hall has use immunity-the DA must have figured he was central to the conviction of Mr. Humphrey, right? And clearly he was.

Is Hall a menace to society? I dont know, imo, that he is any more than the shooter in this case. Both have families who love them. You cannot wish for leniency for Mr. Humphrey's without it being extended to Mr. Hall. Either Mr. Hall had a better attorney, or his crime was not so obvious that the DA was not willing to offer a deal.

So JH confessed to being the shooter, do I have that right? We know that the person who pulled the trigger is not in question. I wonder if the distaste for Mr. Hall is not because he squealed on his friend, so to speak. If he helped dispose of the weapon, he tried to back his friend up. And then, for whatever reason, he gave his version of the truth.

I think this situation is awful.
