Deceased/Not Found WI - Sandra Eckert, 70, Franklin, 26 Mar 2021

Cannot find an update about the car, assuming it is not recovered, speculation.

“The vehicle was last seen by Muskego police at 3 a.m. on Saturday, March 27,” the website says. “It was traveling southbound on Racine Avenue, westbound on Tans Drive, and then southbound on Crowbar Drive. Police did not pull the car over because there was not a missing person alert out yet and no reason otherwise.”

''There’s one strange clue that’s emerged in Eckert’s disappearance. According to the website set up to find her, Eckert may have been driving a 2005 Dark Gray Dodge Stratus, with a Wisconsin License plate 319 LGT (the muffler is on the passenger side).''

''Newly unsealed court documents detail where investigators stand in the search for a missing Franklin woman.''
OH BOY.
Neighbor heard gun shots that night.
Text from their daughter to the dad shortly after mom goes missing reads, You told me since I was a little girl explicitly how you'd kill my mom and get rid of her body. I need you to tell me for the sake of me and my siblings. Did you do it?

Further investigations led to a search of the couple's home in April 2021, documented in unsealed search warrants obtained by 12 News in July 2022.

While officers did not find foul play, the warrants revealed a neighbor reporting what they thought were gunshots coming from the direction of the Eckert home on the night of Sandra's disappearance.

Police also executed a search at a Waukesha man's home in June 2021, with a warrant connected to a potential first-degree intentional homicide charge and hiding a corpse. However, the suspect was later released, and charges were not filed.

There was an article somewhere that her husband discussed how he would place her in a water heating tank and have it crushed or recycled, and they would never find her. It could have been the in the car, since that went missing as well, but obviously this guy had pre-meditated how he would kill her and get away with it.

Absolutely agree, you are into the cases I’m into. I want to know if they can fund crushed remains.

Anything in Wisconsin because I live here. And I know the systems :) IT's much easier to travel to the areas in Wisconsin and I love conspiracy theories because you never know what you could find to add to the puzzle

The rumors are what I don’t have access to and what I’m most interested in. I also don’t know the gangs by location or the spots that you can look at and say “oh that person probably went there for drugs or sex workers.” No good gang maps of Milwaukee. At least for the public. I just keep searching.

Here’s the article I think you mean: Newly unsealed court documents detail investigation into missing Sandra Eckert's disappearance it doesn’t say whether they took cadaver dogs to search the junk yard though. For some reason they don’t think it’s enough.

I have no contacts for Franklin PD, so I haven’t asked about the water heaters.

Case Holder:
Franklin PD
(414) 425-2522
Agency Case Number 21-006397

I could email them, though. I just have been very discouraged by the lack of help I can give. Thing is, they aren’t going to find the body. They might find the crushed water heaters. Boilers. Whatever they were. But I’m not sure how much they are looking. Other convictions without a body have been had in Wisconsin with less than this so I think they need to move soon.

This is the article where he said "water heater" and it would be shredded. As far as the car missing - that could have gone to any junk yard or into a body of water, not to be seen for awhile.

Updated today on NamUs, nothing obvious changed. I have learned in these cases it is usually law enforcement adding DNA information from samples received from family. I don't know if that's the case here, but it's nice to see some activity.
