General information: Sara L. Copple has been missing from her grandmother’s residence in Valders, Wisconsin since

August 5, 2018. Sara may go by her middle name of "Lillian" or "Lil." Sara looks older than she is and may appear to be around 18 years old. She is believed to be with Zachary S. Gauthier and Zachary’s 7-year-old daughter, Delilah J. Gauthier. Delilah did not begin school this year in the district she was registered in and is now considered missing as well. They may be traveling in a 2008 silver Ford Mustang. They may be traveling to the state of Oregon, the state of Florida, or the state of Georgia. They may be traveling with an English cocker spaniel dog named "Beta."

Manitowoc sheriff: Missing Valders girls found in Mississippi, father stopped in Alabama

On Nov. 2, the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office helped the U.S. Marshall’s Office and Federal Bureau of Investigation with finding Sara Copple, 15, of Valders, as well as Zachary Gauthier and his daughter Delilah, 7, of Whitelaw. Both girls were taken into protective custody and arrangements are being made for their return to Wisconsin from Mississippi, according to the sheriff’s office.

Zachary Gauthier, 24, was apprehended in Alabama and will be extradited to Wisconsin through the state Department of Corrections.
