A man from Almond, charged with sexual assault of a child in connection with an Amber Alert back in September, was in Portage County court Monday for his initial appearance.

Portage County District Attorney Cass Cousins announced Jordan A. Coyle faces charges of first-degree sexual assault of a child and interference with child custody.

Bond remains set at $1,000,000. Coyle has a preliminary hearing set for March 2.

The victim's mother, Chelsie Lehmann, faces felony charges of harboring/aiding a felon and neglecting a child, as well as a misdemeanor or encouraging a parole violation, tied to the same case.

She has a jury trial scheduled for April 14.
