Crews are still searching for a missing woman from Holcombe.

54-year-old Tammy Jovaag was last seen on June 30th.

Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk says deputies are using cadaver dogs to search the area of Highway 27, near the Chippewa/Rusk County line.

SUBJECT IS DEPRESSED AND DRINKS HEAVILY WITH MEDICAL ISSUES. SUBJECT WAS SEEN AT A NEAR BY GAS STATION.VIDEO SHOWED THE SUBJECT WALKING FROM THAT GAS STATION TOWARDS HER RESIDENCE. A NEIGHBOR THEN SAW HER NEAR THE END OF HER DRIVEWAY.

Details of Disappearance
Jovaag was last seen in Holcombe, Wisconsin at 11:00 a.m. on June 30, 2015. She didn't have a vehicle and typically walked to get places. The surveillance video at a gas station near her residence showed her walking in the direction of home, and a neighbor saw her near the end of her driveway. She has never been heard from again.

An extensive search of the area turned up no indication of Jovaag's whereabouts. Authorities don't believe she is still alive, but foul play is not suspected in her case.

Tammy Lee Jovaag was last seen around 11:00 a.m. on June 30th, 2015 at a nearby gas station in Holcombe, Wisconsin. Surveillance video from the gas station shows Tammy walking towards her residence. A neighbor saw her at the end of her driveway. Tammy has never been seen or heard from again.

Tammy is a white woman, 5’2”, and 120 pounds. She has blond/strawberry hair that is long and usually pulled back and blue eyes. She has a scar that looks like a backwards “L” on her forehead.

She was last seen wearing a light colored zip up sweat jacket, a dark colored shirt, light colored blue jeans, and work/hiking type boots.

Tammy is an insulin-dependent diabetic and does not have her medication with her. She has a history of depression and medical issues and drinks heavily. She has no valid driver’s license and no vehicle.

There was an extensive search of the nearby area, which turned up no signs of Tammy or any indication of her whereabouts. A Homeland Security Check confirmed that Tammy has not crossed the border.

Tammy was 55 years old when she went missing. She would be 62 years old today.

Maiden name was Ewer, Michael Jovaag ex husband, she had also been married to Scott Gehrt who died this year. Both divorces were very long ago and they all seemed on good terms. I’m of the opinion this was yet another water case, alcohol and water don’t mix. To answer your question @Chimera - they did, in the local newspapers but may not be good with social media.

The court case gives her address, and across the street from it is a gas station. It's weird looking and is called "Leyla's Place" on some maps. Here's a picture from google maps from the start of her driveway to the gas station. This is literally how far she had to walk to get to where she vanished. Her driveway on the left here and the gas station on the right, down a little. I looked up her property (which is now sold) and it was 33 acres. My thought is she's missing somewhere on those acres.
