I think @Quoththeraven has the right of it. either Repinski/shields and gouker may well be involved, but as long as they have dna evidence and a confession from haase, the police have no reason to look further. I’m thinking maybe one day they find Bonnie’s remains, possibly they could use LiDAR on the part of the road in question. and/or around the house. It’s not too late for justice for Bonnie. Also People in Steven’s point know the repinskis well and know a lot more than they are saying. Being all ”minding my own business” about it. people Are raped and dead. It’s past time for people to speak up, even if it’s rumor.

Tony Haase lived at E6270 White Lake Rd, Weyauwega, WI 54983. Togstad and Mumbrue lived at E5674 Butternut Ridge Rd, Weyauwega, WI 54983, just 2.3 miles from each other. Haase worked at Waupaca Foundry, as did Mumbrue. Both Togstad and Mumbrue were out drinking the night of the murder and were last seen at DJ's Bar in Clintonville. Haase was barhopping that night. Maybe they crossed paths. As far as Haase's story about his father getting killed in a snowmobile accident involving Togstad's father and being in a drunken stupor I think is a lame excuse. A drunken stupor is a state of being nearly unconscious due to excessive alcohol consumption. Pretty hard to have sex while nearly unconscious, let alone drive a vehicle. IMO, he most likely went there to rape Togstad. I don't doubt he raped her while she was unconscious after he punched her, knocking her out. Then he stabbed her.

If Gouker didn't drive his former employer, Shields, to the Mumbrue/Togstad residence that night and yet both their DNA was allegedly found at the scene, I think that can be explained because Togstad was a rodeo rider and purchased horse riding gear in the past from Shields' B Bar 10, an equestrian supply store where both Shields and Gouker worked (Gouker's mother was manager there). Since both of them handled equipment at the store there's a good chance that items Togstad bought at the store had their DNA on it.

Haase described that on the evening of 03/20/1992 he became very drunk as he went from one bar to another by himself. For some reason he started to think about the accident that killed his father. Those thoughts led to him going to the home of Tanna Togstad. Haase could not articulate why he went there but insisted it was not to hurt anyone. He described himself as being in a drunken stupor that night.

The suit, obtained by Action 2 News, follows State prosecutors’ arguments that Haase blamed Togstad’s father for his father’s death in a snowmobile accident when Haase was young. In March 1992, authorities said Haase got drunk and went to Togstad’s home, where her father used to live. During a fight, authorities said he stabbed and killed Togstad and her friend, Tim Mumbrue, and her dog. Last week, a jury found Haase not guilty of two counts of First Degree Murder.''

I guess DNA evidence and a confession aren't enough these days to convict someone.

Just watched the Dateline on this case and I can't believe the verdict. What were those jurors smoking? Also the defence attorney at the end saying if you hesitate that they should essentially find him not guilty is insane. It's whether there's enough reasonable doubt in a case not any doubt at all.
