Date Body Found: January 1, 1950
Location Found: Vilas County, Wisconsin
Estimated Age Range: 12-15 Years


Circumstances of Recovery: Partially damaged skull found in the archives at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Only identifying label "Vilas County SP 10278" Looks to be between ages 12-15, unknown gender, date, or ethnicity. Thought to be given to UW-Madison around the mid-20th century.

My guess is it is archeological (prob Native).

Anthropology? I think they tend to have pretty big collections of historical human remains.

If it was found in the anthropology, medical or archeology department, it would be clear it is not any uid. But if it was found elsewhere, different..

I noticed they aren't sure when the skull was found. I'd say 1945 - 1955 might be a better estimate... I wonder if this skull could belong to Evelyn Hartley, missing from four hours away.
