Virginia Bothum Hendrickson, 23, was found murdered at her home at 1112 Knilans Road, Town of Rock, Rock County, Wisconsin, just south of Janesville, Wisconsin. Her 35 year old murder is still unsolved. She was stabbed 35 times and her throat slashed. Her one year old baby girl, Amanda Sue, was found alive in her crib upstairs.

She married Philip Lee Hendrickson in Dane County Wisconsin on October 11, 1986.

I’m finding that this is more complicated due to multiple relationships with male friends,or roommates or boyfriends. I ordered a book that seems to have more detailed info on that aspect. More to come.

This article is from the 4/28/1989 Wisconsin State Journal, and says that they speculated that the attempted murder and assault of a 13 year old in the same area, could've been the same perpetrator. These cases seems to need genetic genealogy done on them! I sent an email to a Rock County investigator suggesting that.

Thank you for reminding me of this one. I got sidetracked by other cases. The book is Rock County’s Unsolved Murders and Missing Persons by Terri Garcia. Copyright 2022.

It names NAMES - very interesting. A former roommate David Lefleur Jr told police he couldn’t remember if he was involved and other people said he called around looking for an alibi. Another roommate said he and female friend were there the night before and saw a red and orange Pontiac firebird pull out of the garage. But police also had him questioned due to a fight with Virginia. Another roommate threatened her life a few weeks earlier.

It doesn’t mention if there’s DNA or not.
