I've been following this case, since the beginning. I personally feel that Caylee is deceased by her mother's hand. I also feel KC is one of the most disgusting human beings alive.

With that said...with the evidence that has been released, and no body, I could not convict on murder 1. Even any murder conviction, I'm not so sure about. I'm pretty sure the prosecution must have more than what we've seen. At least I hope so. Based on what has been released, there's a lot of circumstantial evidence. If no body is ever found, there's always that looming doubt in a jury's mind.
Now I hope I don't get called for jury duty for this.
So yes...I feel she can get a fair trial.:twocents:

And I live in St. Pete-next to Tampa.

 Hiya, I'm in St. Pete too. No one around me has a clue about this case. My sister in law is in Orlando, so she's up on it, but otherwise, I don't know anyone outside of WS that even has a clue about Caylee.

I live in Florida granted not in Orlando but I would say 95% of the people I talk to about Caylee have no idea who I am talking about.

Scott Peterson got a fair trial and there was TONS of media coverage with that case.

Exactly. I spoke with a woman visiting here from Orlando, she knew nothing about the case. Many people do not read about things like this my cousin is one!

ITA Many people are intelligent enough to suspend their personal opinions and judge the case on the evidence alone.

I agree. I could do it. I also think there is much more we have not heard to this case....that is why they want the gag order. I really think there is going to be a few SHOCKING things that come out.....Like we can be shocked any more. LOL

Although most of my friends & family have heard of this case those who have are only vaguely familiar with the details.

When I ask they say things like.....

"Is she the girl down in FLA who put her daughter in the trunk"?

or

"Is she the girl who was bailed out by the Bounty Hunter"?

I only know one other person who is following the case as closely as we do here at WS

I think she can & will get a fair trial........It's up to Baez to make sure he weeds out the "she's already guilty" potential Jurors

I voted "no" because so much evidence has been released to the public.
Cindy & George are in every household a few times a month.

I really don't want her to get a mis-trial but i'm afraid that's the route Jose will take to get her off or a lesser charge.

I would rather have a informed jury than an ignorant one..in this age of internet and 24 hour mass media it's going to be hard to hold the jury to a standard of never having heard anything at all about an event.

Just not reasonable in this day and age. Possible...yes. If defense attornies keep insisting that a juror cannot have heard or have read ANYTHING, then we need to scrap the picked jury and go with professional jurors.

I agree with you about the JB .. The A's and JB are doing their darndest to ruin any upcoming trial...sadly a tactic used by many defense attorneys and guilty parties.

I'm with you on all of that (un)fortunately. I am sure LE has far more but even knowing from day one (snicker, snort) that KC killed her, proving it beyond reasonable doubt cannot be done on the basis of what I know now.

Yes - I know plenty of people that don't have clue what is going on - my daughter who lives in Winter Park, she works at Walgreens, none of the employees there really know whats going on - she told me that a few friends say there is a missing child and thats all they know

Believe it or not, my daughter has not seen one flyer in Winter Park (and she lives about 10 min from Full Sail where her boyfriend goes to school) and she lives about 15 min from where the TES command center was which was in the middle of all the cell phone pings - no flyers at Walmart, Target, Albertsons, even at Walgreens - she's never seen the driving billboard or a t-shirts

Casey can get a fair trial

I have only seen 1 Missing Caylee flyer since Caylee was reported missing and I live on the east side .

I think this will get moved to Miami if it gets to trial.

I believe they can find impartial jurors in Central Florida.
Yet, I also think Baez and the new lawyer from Miami will push to have this case moved to South Florida.

If OJ can have a fair trial, I don't see why Casey cannot . . . most of my coworkers & friends have no idea of the details regarding missing Caylee. However, I pass along information when asked.

Its POSSIBLE, just not all that probable if you ask me.

Almost everyone I talk to is familiar with the case. Not WS familiar (lol) but knows that the little girl has been missing a long time and that the mom looks guilty as sin.

I guess only time will tell.

With all this press coverage will Casey be able to get a fair trial?

The same way folks in small towns do it.

Seriously! Fair doesn't mean having no knowledge of what it's all about. But in this day of folks not wanting to do their jury duty, it's used to get them off the hook.

In some places, the issue isn't knowing about the case, but knowing the person.. and not liking the person for other reasons.. Yet, they don't get to move the trail....

Trials should not be moved, unless it's a discrimination issue. Black person with an all white jury. A white person with an all minority jury, etc.

I live in St. Pete also, and the people I talk to do not follow this case like I do, if I mention something they look at me like I am crazy. When I was searching in Orlando the local people I talked with about this case did not seem to be interested. So I do feel she will be able to get a fair trial in Orlando. Personally, I could care less if she gets anything FAIR for the rest of her life.
