Will Casey face probation?

I’ve always found this forum to be a place where you can say what you feel and not be afraid of backlash. So I wanted to make a comment about some remarks made on the threads yesterday that I found odd. First my opinion is that Orange County and Judge Perry are sick of Casey Anthony and this circus and she is not going to be sentenced to serving any time other than what she has. JB and CM will make sure of that and I am not surprised that Judge Perry granted a stay and her appearance is not necessary. My gut feeling of yesterday was confirmed when I watched HLN at 6:00 last night.

Second, I found it kind of odd that people commented that they would boycott NBC/The Today Show because they had JB on to talk about what was happening with this probation motion and the court’s demand she report by 10 a.m. today. I have watched the Today Show since Jane Pauley/Bryant Gumbel. If you watched Matt Lauer’s interview with JB, it was obvious to me that Matt Lauer is not a Casey Anthony fan and I don’t think he was really all that cordial to JB but who else was going to speak about it and provide us, the public, with all that was going on behind the scenes. It had to be JB or CM that had that information. I don’t think I’ve read that anyone is going to boycott WESH, HLN, CNN, MSNBC, Fox or anyone else who has spoken to any of her defense team. I don’t believe for one second that the Today Show is coddling the idea of using JB as part of their legal experts. LOL! I think Dan Abrams and Savannah Guthrie do a fine job. I just wanted to speak to that because I thought it may have been said in haste. Like I said, who was going to know what Casey or the defenses next move was going to be other than her attorney. Would you not buy the newspaper that interviewed JB to find out the information as well? JMO and thanks for listening. This is not intended to offend but to ask why. :seeya:

Not only does she benefit from loopholes, lies and having her father being a pedophile, she benefits from juries, the media and clerks with bad hearing. She really does have the luck of the Irish and she also found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow media.

Seeing her, mason, baez, simms, fennel, her family or anyone else basking in the light of victory and the search for more money on the deathbed of Caylee makes me squirm. It likens my feelings to the FDLS case. This is oh so wrong. I am disappointed in this country.

To this day when I think about it I get sick all over again. I know I have said it before but I cannot believe those 12 jurors let her walk. It seems almost impossible to me... Just not reporting Caylee missing for 31 days is enough for me plus she never ever called the police, Cindy did.And sooooooooo much more. How did they miss this?????????????????

JMO, But it was reported that NBC was providing JB with very plush accomadations and Matt Lauer was seen dining with JB at an upscale restaurant.
Beyond that,JB plays fast and loose with the truth ,so why do an interview with a liar, and his OS was completely unethical,so why reward it with the attention he seeks?
That's why I (and I believe others) are upset that ANY station will pander to JB,CM or the Anthony family.

I guess when I see the proof that they were seen together I will believe but I think boycotting one show for he saids/she saids when we don't know who else JB is carousing with. Just thought I'd ask. I am no way a fan just think it's a little over the top. But that's just me. ETA: Honestly I am still reeling over this verdict so maybe I'll get my head around this subject when it's clearer. LOL!

I've been afraid to say anything negative about HHJP BUT I will now that Whisperer has spoken. :p

The judge was fair in many ways but I felt like he constantly pandered to the defense. The judge knew what would be included in opening statements--yet he allowed Baez to begin the DT part of trial with out and out bs lies.

I keep going back to someone here stating that Judge Perry could have rejected the jurors verdict. Too bad he didn't. I lost respect for him when he let a child killer -imo-walk free never to pay for a terrible crime.

If Perry has anything to do with the parole --FCA won't suffer at all.
imoo

Are you serious? I have never heard this before.......why oh why did he not reject it? I feel in my heart he knew FCA killed Caylee.......now I have really sunk another notch knowing he could have done something about the verdict...... :)

Bold by me... I personally think she should be subject to probation out of jail because she's a loose cannon and could do anything at any time, but if she's already served the probation, so be it.

:highfive: Natsound,

We have disagreed on many issues so I want to take this opportunity to say ITA ! :seeya:

I think it's the other way around. NG stands, but if there is a guilty verdict ,that can be reversed if the judge thinks the evidence,or lack there of,says otherwise.
Rememner the au pair trial in Massachusetts? The British nanny was found guilty ,but the judge reversed it immediately .
I have no legal experience so this is just my opinion.

In the ask the lawyer thread, AZlawyer said that HHJP couldn't have rejected the verdict. There was nothing he could do after the verdict was read.

A judge can dismiss a "guilty" verdict if there was clearly not enough evidence...he cannot dismiss a "not guilty" verdict...

The Judge could not have rejected a Not Guilty verdict.

BBM she will go OFF again..........with freedom and $$$...........

I do not want judges to overturn a juries verdict...EVER! The jury in this case got it wrong, but IMO, it shouldn't be overturned. She was unfortunately found not guilty by a jury of her peers. That is how our system works.

Throughout the trial, all I ever heard from JP when addressing Jose was "Sustained" and most posters here would type that in in capital letters, quite gleefully...and yet everyone now seems to insist that JP slanted the trial toward the defense the whole time...?

FL is done with her and JP will rule accordingly. She wont go back on probation or have her time in jail amended.

Isn't the hearing part today at 10 am?
Won't we hear some news on it???

Thank you JSV. I will try to find these. I am looking for the sheet of paper they keep flashing on the news that says DOC has established she completed her probation and wish her luck in her future. Th.ey snipped one sentence and I was curious to see the paper in full context

I'm sorry I forgot to put the link in my post . I don't know if what you are looking for is in the link . I don't know what is being said on TV . I haven't had my TV on since the trial was over except late at night and then I watch HGTV & the weather channel . I just can't stomach the TH's anymore .

Not to fire anyone up, but this is worth putting out here:

"It's a bad situation. This thing is over and done. For some reason things seem to keep coming up again for no apparent reason," Baez said.

This is a reference from Yahoo this morning-it apparently is a quote from the today show interview.

What irritates me when he says this, and he's said it before is no, it's not done because they appealed the lying convictions. He said recently the Casey circus is over. Well maybe if they didn't appeal the convictions and there weren't civil lawsuits and the SA wasn't trying to get $$ it would be, but it's not.

No-he could have declared up until they returned with a verdict but not once he had seen it...

guess his hands were tied, but I'll never be able to swallow why he allowed her to serve her check fraud concurrent with the lying charges....
