Do you think that KC will end this charade and take a plea in light of GA's attempted suicide or do you think she will use it and throw GA under the bus? On the one hand I think a reputable lawyer would sit her down and try to end the madness but on the other hand being that inexperienced JB is her lawyer I think they may try to use it in her defense. What are your thoughts?
It's never been about anyone but Casey. No way will she end this.

That would require a conscious of which Ms. KC has not...No Plea, No Way!

nope, no plea. No confession. I wondered if she laughed when she heard about George. Seems to be her usual reaction to her parents grief.
As for it being orchestrated- hard to say what spin is being done by lawyers, but George and Cindy both have appeared to be emotionally stricken. Makes my heart hurt for them.
The lengthy note reminds me of JBR.

I don't think the Pros is offering Casey a plea deal. She was offered one in the beginning and turned it down. Since Caylee has been found Casey has nothing to trade for a plea bargain. I won't be surprised if the death penalty isn't put back on the table. I wish it would be.

He!! no! I predict KC's reaction to be similar to her reaction of her mom burying her hands in the August jail visit... "mom, why are you crying"?

"Gee Dad, why so sad? I'm doing fine, eating cole slaw and candy.. reading the bible... do unto others, ya know?"

This won't phase KC. She doesn't care about her parents.

She will probably be ticked off because George planning to commit suicide was all about Caylee and not her. It won't bother her in the least. I don't think she has any feelings for anyone but herself. She laughed when Cindy put her head down and was crying. Now that is one cold person. I don't think she is capable of loving anyone else either. She sure wasn't capable of loving her little girl so I doubt that she has any love for her parents or brother.

I believe KC has graduated to her new status and her new life very nicely and her mum and dad are past history. If she has any thought of George it is what PGWodehouse said above in post #136 "I wonder what inheritance I'll get".

Also, from the August 14 tape release, she said to her parents that she was eating and sleeping just so the jail staff wouldn't worry about her. How delusional is that?! Huh KC, they really aren't worried about you. They just need to keep you physically safe, not healthy. You can starve yourself all you want ... eventually they'd have an IV drip put in but seriously no one really 'cares' about you. It's an institution! Not trying to be mean but I'm so tired of her demeanor and narcissism. Blech.

I expect you are correct. I have nothing factual to base that one, but judging by Sheriff Beary and Dr. G both getting choked up on the day of the official announcement, I just don't think the SA has any reason to offer a plea. Or want to.

She probably has no clue why her dad is so upset than she did about why her mother was crying!! She is probably thinking why are they acting like this?? After all-SHE'S THE VICTIM!!:furious:

Yes, her whole life has been 'taken' away from her on a whim.

I don't think that there is a plea on the table for her at this time. However, if her atty asked to negotiate one, SA probably would. The cost of a trial would be enormous, and I'm sure that cost has already been enormous. Since the gp would benefit from a plea, they being family of the victim, SA would take their need for this to be over into consideration also. imo
But no, I don't think KC will. When she said they needed to stick together, she didn't mean she was the one who would do any of the comprimising. imo

ETA; If KC thinks or has been told that it isn't looking good and she very well might get lwop, she could use this to her advantage and negotiate down to voluntary manslauter for something and do 10 years? I don't know what I'm talking about and it's the middle of the night, but just thought I throw this out there because I read the thread and it's 100% she won't take a plea. I wanted to provoke some possibilities, suggestions, or insights.... :)

The only thing KC will plea for is more strawberry pop tarts, granola bars and lemonade. IMO there is no way she will plea for anything else...none.

She probably checked the commissary list to see if there was a book Suicide For Dummies............. to send to GA.

I do not think she will plea deal. If she loved her family at all, this would be the time to do it, but I do not think she will.

If she felt any responsibility for the H#LL her family is going thru she would not only plea but confess! But, since she seems to feel no responsibilty, shame, remorse, guilt, or any other "normal" feeling-she will probably blame it all on the media and LE for arresting her on a "whim". She knows what the "normal" response should be, if not, JB will write her an appropriate response to this and turn it into another reason KC can't get a fair trial and needs a change of venue!!

Plain and simple: NO.

Casey is a sociopath, imo. She will view GA's emotional breakdown as weakness. Sociopaths view people who show emotion with a mixture of curiosity and contempt. Watching the jailhouse video's, you can see the absence of real human feelings toward her parents. They exist for her use, and when they become of no use any longer, they are nothing to her. Imo. So happy, btw the way to be here!! 2nd post, WS virgin here :)

Welcome! :)

ITA with your post.

Nope,she doesn't give a damn.
But I hope CA wakes up.This is all her fault IMO.She pushed him and pushed him....I do believe that at some point he wanted to do the right thing....but she didn't let him....

Why are we always trying to blame someone else for other people's actions. George needs to take responsibility for himself. He's a big boy. If she controlled him, he allowed it or needed it. Are we going to blame CA for KC killing Caylee too? CA may not be perfect, but she had to somewhat support KC since she had this small child. I don't believe she forced her to keep this child. I believe she thought she might regret it once she got older. Please-let's place blame where it belongs. CA has made contradicting statements, but, thankfully now is not saying anything. GA has been a "loose canon" for quite a while. Hopefully, this will be a wakeup call!

Oh, and by the way, I hope LE does not even entertain the thought of a plea at this point.

She won't plea... if anything she's probably pissed cause it'll probably be awhile till daddy can put money into her account.
I didn't think this case could get any sadder but is does, and I'm sure theres more to come.

Rest in peace sweet Caylee.

I can't imagine that the members of the local community who have had to live with this and pay for it would be too pleased with a prosecutor that signed a ten year plea deal. That would put her out of jail at 32, young enough to have babies and live her whole life. Totally unacceptable. The ability to plea down has sailed. Not that I think she would ever do it anyway.
