Willie Nelson and crew busted for drugs

  • #21
I can sing a hundred songs
When I'm loaded to the gills
Makes it kinda hard though
To navigate these hills
Do you think they'll arrest me
Hell no, don't be silly
I invented bio-diesel and
My name is Willie

Oh NO! Say it ain't so!

Next song:
"I lost my mari-juana 'cause I was flyin' way to low,
Tryin' to dump my 'shrums on pizza,
But they fell onto the floor,
As I looked down at them,
The bus ran across the lines,
Now I've lost my mari-juana,
And got myself some fines."

Feel free to add the next verse! :D

<<Poor old Willie-why can't the cops concentrate on folks committing ACTUAL crimes and leave an old pot-toking man alone?>>

Yeah exactly, why aren't they catching the real criminals.
So he smokes pot, geez crucify him to a cross.

Did you see that his band mates all stepped up and claimed the drugs belonged to them? Otherwise the cops would have charged him with a felony....

No kidding Taylor..........such a deal already
He drinks alot too. SO WHAT! Donut cops....nothin else to do and he wasn't hurtin' anyone!
Good God.......he'e got a driver for that 60 ft. bus!

Thats just Willie folks!! And I like him... I don't agree with drugs or anything like that ok but for some reason I have accepted it as a part of Willie. One of my neighbors in Kentucky used to smoke weed with Willie when she lived on the reservation she said he would come down there sometimes and just hang out & she said he is the nicest guy and a great person.

it's not the first time Willie's been "busted", but if i'm not mistaken, it's been a long time since he was...i've never cared much for his tunes; maybe a couple, but my Daddy has always liked him, from way back...(on the road again, just can't wait to get on the road again (zombie smiley face)....lol, him & my stepmama went with another couple, several years ago, up the east coast....my stepmama said everytime they'd head back out to travel further, Daddy would sing that song....she was like

I agree and have always loved Willie and his album On the Road Again. My ex and I got married and had Willie's song, "I Guess I've Come to Live Here in Your Eyes" sung. Well, we did live up to that song for 15 yrs. My ex always dedicated the song, "Angel Flying too Close to the Ground" to me. Back then, I always wanted to have a party and invite Willie, Waylen & Chris. Those three were great together. I'm sure Willie misses them dearly. If it wasn't for Willie being famous, this would have never made the news. I say leave the guy alone, he's not hurting anyone. There are plenty of real criminals out there to be going after, not Willie.

Very true, but his flaunting of his drug usage combined with him practically never getting busted only sends the image that you can do drugs without legal consequences. Oh wait, where I live (very conservative part of the US) you can do drugs, sell drugs whatever without much fear of being busted. I've been known to pass dealer info on to the sheriff's office only to see the dealers keep on dealing. Sheriff's Department has more to do than it can handle, so the small time dealers don't get busted, and about once a decade a large dealer does get caught. Gosh, I guess it's miraculous that Willie got busted at all.

Marijuana and mushrooms are drugs?? :waitasec:

Sorry I don't buy it...these things naturally grow in the ground. I hate alcohol...it's poison. I think anyone OVER 21 should be allowed to use marijuana. Mushrooms grow in cow sh*t, so I'll pass on them.

Laws should be for crack, heroin, meth, etc. Those are the real drugs....

FYI...I don't use drugs, but I totally disagree with our laws.

FREE WILLIE!!!!!!!!!!!

Willie Nelson's public statement regarding being caught with a bag of Marijuana this week:

"It's a good thing I had a bag of Marijuana instead of a bag of spinach. I'd be dead by now!"

LOL....isn't that a hoot!!! :p

my daddy loves to sing anyway...he might burst out in tune at anytime, lol
more often when he's had a few brews though...i grew up listening him to sing Cash, oooh, Roger Miller, ...i went blank on the other two guys....

back to Willie Nelson...i bought the soundtrack to Brokeback Mountain...it's a very good CD..."He Was a Friend of Mine" is a good tune by Nelson...
Rufus Wainwright does Steve Earles "The Devil's Right Hand", & it's excellent...
....this soundtrack is one that i can put in the player & listen to the entire thing ...more than once.....

I wonder how Willie gets his dope. It's not like he can walk up to the average dealer on the street and order a pound of pot and a few ounces of magic mushrooms. Is there an official drug dealer to the stars?
