Some towns, especially along the I-91 corridor, had accumulated more than three feet by 2 a.m. Saturday, Furey said. Most of the state had at least 18 inches of snow, he said, with drifts between four and seven feet.

Wolcott and Middlebury had 30 inches of snow by 2 a.m., he said, and there were 29 inches in Middletown, 26 in Hamden and 25 in Southington. Many towns in the central part of the state were "up and over 2 feet and counting," Furey said.

"Snowfall totals from this storm in some Connecticut towns have exceeded the normal snowfall for an entire winter," Furey said.

Are you in CT too? This is absolutely crazy. I think it is worse than 78. There is 3 feet of snow on the deck and over 2 feet in the driveway. Mayor said our town is in a state of emergency. Roads are impassible. There have been no plows our way either. I did not go to bed untli 2am. Looked out the front window and could not even see the house across the street. We still have power. Thank you Lord

Still coming down hard here, it needs to quit snowing NOW. We are over two feet and the drifts are at least five.

It is frigid out there. We have a fold up table lying against the house. We have a couple of squirrels which we feed almost daily....stale bread and dry cereal. I love watching them and they have come to expect me serving them dinner. I know, I probably shouldn't. Yesterday the squirrels were taking the food and going under the table. When I looked out the deck, even though the snow is so high, there is still an opening to get under that table. I saw tiny foot prints going in that direction but none coming from it. I cracked the door opened slightly and threw out some bread and got it into the opening and could here little noises. At least the little bugger is sheltered now with food. He has a friend. I hope that little guy is in there too.

I am not sure how much snow we have. Its drifting and still snowing. Windy all night long, which we can get winds because we are down a hill in a field. But mostly I am surprise so far we have power. My old house does not, so I would of awoken to no coffee, which I figured would be my case today, but nope. Sorry for anyone who does not have power, stay warm!

Poor Ricki!

My goodness I think you all in Connecticut have felt the full brunt of every single storm in the past year. Stay safe lady!

We made it through the night, power flickered a couple of times but has not gone out! So thankful for that.

It's hard to measure accurately, but we are around 30 inches. And it's still snowing and not expected to end until this evening sometime.

My dogs are.not.liking. having to go outside to do their business. DH had to shovel a path on the deck and in the yard for them.

You stay safe also. CT has been getting wacky weather the past few years and we have lost power multiple times during a few of those storms. We were lucky this time, thankfully.

LOL.. looks good. I actually love a good snow. Winter is so boring without it. Especially February. It is like the month that never ends!!

Hopefully one wallop and spring will come soon!

Until then, Chocolate chip cookies and milk for breakfast!

Well, we sure got off easy. It looks like about 8-10 inches and I never saw/heard any major wind (or slept through it!). Happy to hear so many have not lost power. Ricki, my DH is in Costa Rica right now! (I don't know where your picture was from but it certainly looks wonderfully tropical).

This was last night...My Expedition, with big tires. I have to use the nerf bars to get up into it....

Thank God we have power!

The drifts are really high here, over 5 ft easily and still coming down fast.

Where are you just? I can't tell if it's still snowing or just blowing...

Five foot drifts already?

Justanother maybe instead of clearing a path you'd be better off making a tunnel.

Essex county. It's still snowing mixed with lots of gusts of wind.

Doesn't it seem strange to say we got off easy with only 10 inches of snow?

Yup in our neighbors yard. I just see a mound of snow at the bottom that wasn't there last night LOL

When the snow stops you can easily make a two story snow man.

Slipped on the ice yesterday and jammed my shoulder -- and couldn't get to the doctor because of the weather. Will have to wait until Monday I guess...

I'm not sure how much we have -- five-foot drifts in places, but at the corner of the house, it's swept bare, clear down to grass. It's unusual to get snow this light and dry here. But we have power and everything, so that's all good. It looks like the coast is really getting battered.
