Plus wasn't LB and her attorney caught by the media prior to her deposition and didn't her attorney say she was not aware of exactly where the remains were found. CM had to have heard that. He knew what was coming just trying to do a little clean up on aisle 9. Not saying he was a part of this LB storyline but just trying to keep the damage to a minimum.

So reporters tried to talk to JB and CM today for comments and neither one of them had anything to say. CM had nothing to say. Now THAT says alot. jmo

Did you listen to the controlled phone calls that LE had a few of these folks make to her? She gets caught in sooo many lies, it is unbelievable.

I'm reading part two of LBs second depo. So I don't have to go searching, can someone tell me which attorney was with her in May 2010...the first NJ guy or the second FL guy? And did they go down to FL just for that?

After reading this lengthy transcript my opinion remains unchanged that while LB may or may not have falsified documents to a particular degree, she was 100% used and abused by this entire defense team. ALL THE WAY UP THE FOOD CHAIN. From the local yahoo defense team ala revolving doors to the illustrious self anointed angel of blah blah barf!

JB made sure to get it on the record at the end of the depo that Laura was crying and he made a theatrical production of asking her about being the TARGET of a criminal investigation. He never did get that acting break he really wanted did he??

I am so proud of LDB for pointing it out one well enunciated sentence at a time for those hearing impaired attendees, that at no time did the SAO of LE inform HER she was the TARGET of any criminal investigation.

Mr. Baez......me thinks she was referring to you.

Mr. Mason may be deaf as a doorknob.......or any other number of inanimate objects but his tongue works just fine. While he typically speaks with a mouthful of marbles, he has no problem "spittin em out" in order to double talk over Laura and try to confuse her. Even I can see that, and I am certain...........I am not the only one.

The target IMO is squarely affixed over someone other than LB. Time for a wake up cal JB.....I am certain CM knows the deal. Maybe he'll answer your questions if he can hear them.

I see an endorsement for Miracle Ear on the horizon. Though, I am sure they have standards.

The only person doing anything manipulative or dishonest was Mason trying to bully her into agreeing with what he thinks she said. LB has no credibility and it is wrong to imply that it is the prosecution's job to try to confuse her and trip her up. The only person doing that, again, was Cheney Mason.

I surprised to read you saying this - I'll have to go back and read it (at least that part- not the rest :banghead because unlike Baez, it sounded to me like he was asking some very direct questions as if he couldn't believe they had been presenting what she said one way and she was swearing to something else in this depo.

Also I got the feeling he was very surprised by her answers and as soon as he and Baez left the room he would immediately start kicking Baez around the block.

OK, after having read the transcripts, without benefit of inflection, I have to agree with Horace and Sleuther. He was a complete bully, asking the same thing over and over in different ways, trying to trip her up. In fact, he is the one who made LB cry. LDB by comparison is very polite. JMO

Yes, I agree - I guess I thought his "surprise" was genuine because I haven't seen him seem to know very much about the evidence in this case - he has made some real bloopers.

I thought she cried because she was frazzled from the first part and JB was sympathetic (moo). LDB was actually nicer in these depos than in the first one, though, it's true. But it is a bit hard to listen (or read that is) when she kept reiterating the phrase "documents that you altered" (creating the impression that some kind of evidence or official documents had been altered LOL, when obviously it was only LB's own innocuous notes, no kind of deception or anything.) And making LB go over and over which tree Mort pointed at. LB could obviously show easily and clearly enough where she had walked, by being taken to the scene or in other ways, instead of the round and round questioning regarding Mort, (to try to trip her up). LB also seemed to get tearful or nervous after LDB embarrassed her with whatever photos those were she'd sent to JB.

I still don't get why the term "Laura B backs out" kept being used in the media etc when she only had to miss a depo due to an illness? And when was she supposedly "discredited" as we kept hearing in the media? :waitasec: Spin spin spin. Such a shame
