Tuesday!

People have been asked to clear their calendars for Tuesday ... for GJ! According to NG

It's one of two things:

1) They don't feel they have enough to charge her for homicide so they send it to a Grand Jury to determine, OR

2) They are looking to charge her with capital crimes (death penalty) and this is the only way to do so.
Thanks Theonly1.

They'd be smart to plead this chick out IMO.

I expect them to before they go to court on a capital crime. Only a fool would take her to court in this one. She will be happy to take life before this is over.

This is good to hear. However Grand Juries can drag out for a very long time so I wouldn't expect an instant charge. Look at Drew Peterson. The GJ on his is still meeting weekly. Never the less taking Casey's case to the GJ is still moving forward which is an awesome thing.

Relax all. Of course the State Attorney's office would report that. They also deny everything and chances are that office did not officially release anything about this case. But, certain individuals within the office could have released it the media off the record. Happens all the time.
NG's reporter just said that CA and GA have been asked to clear their schedules for Tuesday. I would imagine LA would be asked too. IF that's the case, who will be watching the sociopath? Maybe she will be in jail by then. Ok...wishful thinking on my part.

So glad for this news about GJ convening, but also for last night's NG featuring TM and LP (We're coming back to OrLAHNdo, and yes it will not be good for you, KC).

Have been reading all day, and tend to think that the GJ may already have been presented with LE/State's case. I am thinking back to mid September or so when the A's were presented with some papers (perhaps not just subpoenas regarding neglect/fraud but the biggie) and perhaps IIRC lawyered up with NeJame.

If that's so, perhaps it will take the GJ less time to resolve the situation, thus avoiding the complication of Neglect case that was pending for early November.

So, in other words, Boston, I "absolutely" concur. : )

GO LE/STATE!

WOO-HOO or did I alread say that?

This is excellent news.........

I have complete faith that LE has spent the last 3 months building a strong case against KC

If they've decided to move forward & present their case to a Grand Jury then they must be confident that not only will they get an indictment but also a conviction once the case goes to trial.

In my opinion LE has an "ACE" up their sleeve & KC will be indicted

Agreed. Hans Reiser convicted of Murder 1 (premed) in California in June/July this year for killing his wife, turned over body location for life in August. He also blew off the immunity/lesser charge deal from DA. He also thought he was very smart. Not. He is a coward though, as far as self esteem issues. His allocution still full of self-justification, IMHO.

They CAN do it without a body when it is evident that fluids that evince death are present. I have heard that weapon, witness, and motive (?) are the Holy Trinity of a murder case. For the defense, maybe. But what about means, opportunity, motive and obviously a dead person was in the trunk and A backyard.

Have to disagree with you on this one.

EXACTLY! Even if Caylee is never found, mommy-dearest is going DOWN for murder. Count on it.

Okay I talked to my Dad, who has done many grand jury's, he's a retired Police Chief/FBI, he was also a detective for forged documents and forensics -

first he said the grandy jury should only be a few days - he says the prosecution only has to show enough evidence to get the charge they won't show all the evidence because the defense will be there but the defense will not have any opportunity to defend Casey

Authorities can dismiss the neglect charge if homicide is charged but most likely won't her check charges will also be prosecuted AND something I didn't know - Casey, if found not guilty CAN BE CHARGED AGAIN - being that she has a federal charge of the checks and if there is a way for the federal ability to charge her with something they will - I didn't know this

ALSO he said that almost for certain, Cindy Anthony will be charged with accessory to murder - my Dad said that her statements, tampering with evidence and witnesses, it's almost a guarantee she will be charged - but she can also get a deal, immunity for testifying against the defense

Now my Dad has not been following the case closely, but from what he does read he sees no chance for Casey at all

Glad to here that this case is going to the Grand Jury!!!!!!
The best outcome would be that Casey gets arrested for MURDER 1 and TES finds Caylee's body so Casey has no way to make a "deal" to avoid the needle.

Actually the best outcome would be that Caylee was alive and that she was brought home and given to a family that ACTUALLY would love her! But we all know that this scenario won't be happening! :( jmo

Turbo, that's an interesting issue.

A) Will she take JB's counsel (assuming he is not totally, irredeemably incompetent) and do a plea for LWOP in exchange for body? (But if the body is recovered, Forensics/State may not "like" what they see in regard to means of death).

Or

B) Will KC's protection of ego and fear of the Wrath of Cindy take over?

is there a C option I haven't put forth?

I expect them to before they go to court on a capital crime. Only a fool would take her to court in this one. She will be happy to take life before this is over.

A spokesman for Casey Anthony's attorney would only respond by saying that if prosecutors are going to charge her with homicide, they should just do it and lay out the charges.

Oh sure, lets give everything to JB right now.:biglaugh:

I am very interested in hearing more about that. LE has way more than we do. But just going on what we have in WS document and tapes and videos, can CA be charged with Accessory After the Fact now that her "cooperation" (as if) if no longer needed?

If /and the other A's have cooperated to totally mangle this case, IMO nobody so far (beyond body conveyance) has done more than CA to obstruct, mislead, deflect.

What do you think?

While I am ecstatic about this news, it makes me wonder about the timing, when TES is planning on arriving tomorrow to discuss search locations with LE. Wouldn't they want to do more searches first before charging her?

I can only make sense out of this for 1 of 2 reasons:

1. For some reason they fear the motion on Friday of letting Casey go traveling will be approved, hense have her lined up with charges.

or

2. They have received results back from DNA that make they found a "portion" of Caylee on TES' last search. That makes sense to me also as to why TES left all of a sudden that day. I am wondering if they found a portion of a body, and hence figured that in order to find the rest at that location, they needed the water to recede.

Why else would they not wait until TES could do more searches and go to the grand jury with a body?

I guess only time will tell.

But I am glad that this is coming down, for whatever reason!
