The owner of a nanny agency has come to the defense of the Whittier mother of octuplets, claiming that Nadya Suleman is "a great client, a great mom."

Jacqueline Chatfield of Merry Poppins To Order, a nanny referral service in Covina, has provided child care to Suleman's six older children for two years, she said.
She talked to Suleman almost daily to coordinate child care and said her nannies liked working for the Suleman. "You always get feedback from the nannies," Chatfield said. "And all the reports I get is that she is a great mom."

If I haven't done this correctly can a mod fix it or point me right! Ta!

Weird. I was just coming back to post my doubts about all these supposed friends and church family she claims are eager to help. If they want to help, what are they waiting for? If anyone has been helping, then why does the house look that way, and why is the grandmother bearing the burden with the six?

If I went to help a friend like that, picking up the clothes and washing the food off the walls would be one of the first things I'd do. Messes like that make everything more difficult and depressing.

Something tells me that this agency is looking for publicity, and she only used this service sporadically, when she needed a sitter and her mother couldn't do it.

Grandpa said they have a big home where no one will find them (link posted earlier). I'm guessing that as long as the Huggies van can find them to drop off free diapers, it's all good? :silenced:

Did we find out yet where this Big House is located ??

I get the impression that she was using her daddy to pay for necessities and using her student loans and disability to pay for frills like this.

If I were one of the people her mother owes a chunk of that million dollar debt to, I'd be asking serious questions about her husband's bank account, and why they divorced but continue living together.

Not that I know of, but I hope there's an investigative journalist (or some credit agencies) looking into it.

If they don't, then expect her to write a book (or have one written) that spins all this out in her image and her wallet's favor. :innocent:

I know I heard that Babies grandpa was going back to work in Iraq. Does anyone know what he did for work here in the states ??

I think the website came down. here is one in my area that put up this disclaimer as they have the same name. what a mess:

West Coast Fertility Centers of Orange County is NOT affiliated with West Coast IVF Clinic of Beverly Hills, which was identified in connection to the birth of the octuplets.

I read that he was a translator. That was early on though, and the story about him had already changed once, so you never know.

No results on thsi one anymore. the doctors picture is down and these people are in deep doo doo.

Good. Does anyone else get skeptical when Nadya says that they were right to put 6 in this time because that's the same number they have always done, and it only gave her multiples (twins) once?

They just announced on HLN the medical bill could be from 11/2 to 3 million dollars for these babies.

I think Kaiser is going to be sucking this one up. They also said that her marketability is shrinking.

That supports the veracity of callers who said she used them in the stores where they worked as checkers.

So, so much for her saying she has never used welfare. There is much dishonesty in this woman, her father, and her publicist, I think.

Did you catch this recent article with this line from her publicist?
http://www.reuters.com/article/topN...?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&rpc=22&sp=true

A spokesman for the mother, Michael Furtney, has said she has several nannies already and "has received offers of additional help" once the octuplets come home.

This entire story is so full of contradictions, it smells rotten from start to finish.

I haven't heard a thing about it again- they can't tell us where it is because "no one can find it"? :D

This story is bringing out the worst in me!~ Sorry!

So, with 6 you can get 490 a month, does that mean the additional 8 will bring in another 600 dollars or so? It's getting worse by the minute. I am listening to our president on the television about our deficit and here we have a woman bringing more children into this mess. God help us!

Octuplets' mother receives public assistance
[UPDATED]
4:45 PM, February 9, 2009

Suleman Nadya Suleman, the woman who gave birth to octuplets last month, is receiving $490 a month in food stamps, and three of her first six children are disabled and receiving federal assistance, her publicist confirmed to The Times.

Publicist Michael Furtney confirmed the information after two sources told The Times that Suleman was receiving food stamps and federal supplemental security income.

Suleman had told NBC News correspondent Ann Curry in an interview that she was not receiving welfare. Furtney said Suleman didn't consider the food stamps and SSI to be welfare.

“In Nadya’s view, the money that she gets from the food stamp program ... and the resources disabilities payments she gets for her three children are not welfare," he said. "They are part of programs designed to help people with need, and she does not see that as welfare."
