Wouldn't be surprised if LE comes back with "we have not found any valid threats against her life or her children's lives".

Great spoof of her on Headlines News right now. I hope it makes YouTube.

According to Headline News Angelina has had admiring letters from Octomum but she is creeped out over this.

I heard about the letters to Angelina... this case just gets more and more disturbing as each day goes by. :(

LOL, I was going to look for one of the parodies I saw this morning. A reporter asks Angelina Jolie if she's heard about the octomom. She asks if the mom wants to keep all of them. You'd have to see it. It was pretty funny.

About who paid for the first 6 kids...She was still technically married to her 1st husband (who was not the father), up until 2008 even though they separated in 2001. I'm wondering if she could have been still been included as a spouse on her ex-husband's health insurance and popping out the sperm donor's kids on his dime?

That is quite interesting. I don't know about CA, but in my state, if a man is married to a woman when she gives birth, even if he is not the biological father, he is the LEGAL father and is financially/legally responsible for the child.

That's the way it is in California too, from what I understand.

No idea if links will work, copied from elsewhere, but her church is supposedly NOT buying her a home.

I can't imagine why anyone would lie about such things that can be quickly checked out. Why in the world would Ms. Suleman lie about something like this?? She has lied about everything thus far. Who in the world could trust anything that comes out of that Angelina Jolie mouth of hers? And apparently she has written some admiring letters to Angelina Jolie. Another lie on the NBC interview.

I'm sure she lies easily - because she is one sick woman, but not so sick that she can't see the dollar signs. She's essentially whoring herself out to anyone who will pay and shame on any willing johns, I say. That there are innocent children who have apparently been created for this very reason is appalling. I also think the doctor involved has a very high level of responsibility for those children and should be liable.

I'm no Angelina Jolie fan - the number of kids she and Pitt have would have been too many for the way I wanted to parent, but they can afford it, they will never need to ask anyone to foot the bill. Therefore, it is no one's business but their own. But Jolie must be really uncomfortable with all this, especially if it is true that Nadya has written her. Wow. It is very weird - the obsession with having so many children, the caricature-like likeness to Jolie via plastic surgery...just creepy.

OK, I was skeptical about the claims that she had been forced into hiding due to "death threats." (It ssounds like that girl who carved something on her own face, coming out backwards because she was using the mirror ) But now the publicist says she has moved back to her mother's house. After two days "in hiding?" I call total BS. :snooty:

ITA. I think the alleged death treats were a bid for sympathy, since it really wasn't going the way Octomom planned.

While I can understand your frustration with this woman and her actions, do you really want to see these infants seperated and sent out for adoptions like a litter of kittens?
I'm not criticizing you. I too am torn. I want what's best for the kids - all 14 of them and this mom has shown she does not know how to be responsible and has the resources to care for this group of kids.
But, really, imagine if it was you being adopted out and found out later you were one of eight. And, that you have no idea where your siblings are or if you'll ever see them.
It's a shame what this woman has done. I can see by the posts here that everyone reading and posting here have been affected in a negative way with so many facets of this story. For those woman who have gone through so much to have just one child wether by adoption of infertailty treatments and costs to the people who know their taxes dollars will support this woman and her children to the general population who knows a scam when they see one, this serial mother has touch us all in a very sad way.
jmo

I am adopted. While not one of eight, I learned as an adult that I had older siblings (who were not adopted). Comparing how they were raised and my life, I have nothing but gratitude that my biological mother gave me up for adoption.

No kidding!

Another personal story so feel free to skip: I had surgery on a lumbar disk a few years ago. I can no longer do the job I was (ICU). If I go back to work I will have to find something with just about no lifting. Although it was suggested, I chose not to persue disability, but I also chose not to get pregnant again because I can't carry a toddler or big baby without risking rerupturing my disk! I agree with everything others with back injuries above have said! I am also furious at this cheap bimbo. She probably pulled a side muscle or something silly and milked it/faked it for all it was worth. :furious:

Seriously. I have one child and while I would have liked to have had another, we choose not to because of my health. I had a lot of problems with my pregnancy (12 years ago) that have not all went away. I live with chronic back pain, am not on disability, although I think I could have persued it, - I had some problems with back and legs/feet prior to getting pregnant, there is no doubt my pregnancy and the resulting issues (staph infection after the c-sect.) aggervated it.

I became a SAHM, not by choice, but by the reality that I could at best, work part time, and after looking at all the factors, we decided it would be better to stay home. Even part time would make the health issues worse, and when you added in day care, expenses for working, higher taxes, etc. it didn't make sense. Would I have liked to? Yes, and you know I still would. But, I write, I volunteer as I can, I teach in our faith, and of course take care of house and home, but, it is a chore, I have had to work within limitations. I have had friends and family, and of course, DH, help a great deal, especially in the year after I had my baby, but, even since.

Seeing all this with Octomom and her expectations and all is just so frustrating.

Medusa, I agree 1000% with you. I, too, was adopted (at age 5) and found my natural siblings/family as an adult(there were four children). Before adoption, we were on welfare and at one point lived in a truck in a CA state park for several monthes. I remember my natural mother encouraging us to steal food from the grocery store. It was a horrible, traumatic life. I thank god everyday that I was not raised with such an irresponsible, selfish woman that my natural mother was. There were four siblings, and we were taken from her by CPS because she was an unfit mother. My oldest sibling was in foster care until he was 12 and then sent back to live with my natural mother. His life did not turn out well, he has had alot of struggles in his life; alcohol and drug problems and crime. An older sibling and I, on the other hand, were raised in good, christian families who taught us values, and loved us.

This woman is not in her right mind, and has no business raising 14 children, especially with the living conditions that exist. I think CPS needs to investigate and take those children and give them to families who will love them and support them financially, emotionally, etc.

I could easily be persuaded that Nadya's mother may have been "in on" the whole thing. Let me ask you this... if I wrote a book about my newborn baby's skin falling off when I touched him, and my mom (retired nurse) wrote a book about how terrible it was for her to care for the baby in my absence, which book would you buy? Which story would you empathize with? Either way, if my mother and I were in "cahoots"... books were purchased, our stories were told AND we made money in the end.

Good cop, bad cop.... I still haven't decided if anyone involved is a good cop. I have felt so many conflicting emotions regarding this case and perhaps Nadya's mother is an enabler- it happens. I want so badly to believe that Angela is the angel we think she is BUT there is the nagging feeling that both women are playing 2 ends against the middle.

Wow - that is pretty much my DH's opinion on Octomom's mom.

That is quite interesting. I don't know about CA, but in my state, if a man is married to a woman when she gives birth, even if he is not the biological father, he is the LEGAL father and is financially/legally responsible for the child.

Excellent point. My state as well. And not that long ago, there was a case in the paper about a guy in Georgia, I believe that was suing over this. His then wife had a child, DNA showed not his, and he is trying to overturn the if you are married it is your child rule. IIRC, it was pretty much the law in all states so I am wondering how this works on Octomom and her ex. I just think if the law was different in CA or had been changed this would have made the news.

If they simply said no children born of this marriage, maybe it got no attention, and possibly they presented a simple divorce and did it themselves? I would think some reporters are on this one and this might be reopened.

I thought it is not even at birth, but at conception.

Medusa, thanks for saying that- I feel rotten even thinking this way but it's good to know that someone else got the same sort of vibe. :blowkiss:

I saw that Lew - hope TMZ got their facts right and like you I hope the kids weren't left in the car. Am I right in saying that it was a 30 minute parking spot?

Just spotted this.
