Worst family in the world?

What a warped sense of humor that family has! Now that this video is out on the internet,it back fired on the parents, not so funny now,and I hope they feel like dirt.I can't see the humor in it at all.

I went and checked it out on youtube, they did give him the game later. He got that joke as a present because he was peeking. I still think its wrong but at least he really did get it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhO-OE931D4 Here is the link, it explains why they did it.

I don't know about that, he says he was going to post the second video, but that was two months ago. I never did find where he (the 19 year old brother) explains why they did it. Like any explanation would matter. That was so cruel. And not the first time, imo, he has been the subject of their ridicule and cruelty.

I wouldn't call them the worst family in the world. There are bigger tragedies than this. It was a little mean don't get me wrong but I wouldn't say what they did was abusive.
There was an episode of Roseanne once where DJ was shaking all his Christmas gifts and kept throwing each box down complaining that it sounded like clothes, when he walked out Dan told someone that they wrapped all his toys in clothes to trick him.

I couldn't watch it.

Sorry I did! My first thought was, if I knew how to find this child I would send him an Xbox. I felt so sorry for this little boy, but probably not the first time parents have been mean to this child. Extremely cruel on the parents part. IMO

I think this kid needs a new family worse than an xbox.

Yes this is abuse.. Its Emotional abuse .... IN the Rosanne scenario the child was actually getting the toys. IMO that is far different then a cruel hoax and not giving the child the Xbox..

I couldn't watch the whole video. What a mean trick. Mygirlsadie, you never give clothes as gifts? Clothes are a gift staple at our house, as much as books and other "everyday" things are.

So, did the kid ever get a real XBox?

Why would someone give clothes as a gift to begin with? I HAVE to provide clothes for my children, that is not a gift. What this family did was mean and crappy and the way the one with that annoying voice behind the camera kept telling him how they can't afford an x-box..why should a little kid have to worry about or even know about what mom & dad can or cannot afford? The evil laughs going on around the room? They should be ashamed. I saw nothing funny about that video & obviously that family has a sick sense of humor..

When you grow up on a limited income, clothes ARE a gift. My family was not "rich" while I was growing up. If I needed something immediately, my parents did the best they could to get it for me. But clothes were usually given at Christmas and/or birthdays.

And I can tell you... they NEVER pretended to get me a big ticket item that I'd been dreaming of having and then shove clothes into the box and tape my disappointment. That is cruel and mean-hearted.

my stepmom did the same thing to me one year. I wanted a little stereo with a tape player in it for christmas. That was all I asked for and there wasn't a shortage of money. I opened the wrapping paper and found a box for a HUGE stereo, when opened it was a comforter for my bed. I was so upset. My father was blind to it and had no idea. She played it off like it was an accident but she did things like that to me all the time. Like making me buy my bras out of the irregular catalog and accusing me of stealing her things. I feel for this kid. At least I was old enough to know what she was and karma caught up to her. I am sure he will never treat his own kids like this when he is older. It has taught me something...even if it was a very unnecessary lesson.

This poor child. What a cruel joke.

Clothes are always a gift in my family. You get them when you need them, but you always get them as presents for birthdays and Christmas, too, especially special items like an expensive sweater set you'd wanted or a expensive jacket like a North Face that is a novelty, in-style item. We also always give new underwear and socks at Christmas, too, for everyone.

Clothes are always nice to have, even though children don't see it that way, but what this family did was ultra-awful.

raised in a farm family (i.e. poor) we always got clothing or blankets/ quilts for christmas. "santa" came and filled our stocking with fruit and goodies, and small gifts like watches or hot wheel cars. we also got all the goodies from all those cereal boxes LOL

auntie made each of us a quilt (or afghan) and crocheted slippers. i usually got a nightshirt embroidered with my name.

it never occurred to me to feel deprived.

what these meanies did to this child is shameful. reminds me how blessed i was, and still am.

I think it was a cruel prank ... and made crueler by uploading the video from the video camera onto their computer over on youtube, so the entire world could view how devastated this poor child was.

Yeah, they sure have money for a computer as well as a video camera, so they are not THAT poor. It isn't the point that he got clothes for a gift, or the fact that they didn't get him the xbox360. It is the cruel joke that they KNEW he wanted the gaming system and then laughed wild and hard at his disappointment. They are cruel and 🤬🤬🤬 parents. I am sure they had to go out of their way to find him that box. They did it on purpose and I want to steal that kid and let him come to my house where he would be loved and treated with respect. These parents are big fat zeros to me!

I can't even bear to watch child actors get disappointed like this or embarrassed on television. How hideously cruel and abusive.

Thank you!!!! Although your post has me asking "me...does she really mean ME?" A "sweetie...." me?????????????
Are you SURE you meant this towards ME????
Somehow I don't feel worthy!
But if you meant it I thank you more than you would ever know. I feel so good right now!
