"Bill Gore: There was blood found on Rebecca body which was determined to be menstrual blood, there was also blood spotting on the floor - on the carpet, and a small spot in the shower.
Again, we determined that was her blood because it was on her body and it was menstrual blood, to take every little piece and look at the shower blood, we just don’t do that."

When I read this, I believe the blood was tested and determined to be menstrual blood. MOO.

When the reporter was asking questions about the blood, why didn't he just say that? "Logical investigative work" and "scientific testing" are not one and the same and since they were touting the "science" of their investigation certainly he would have wanted to make that point?

You would have to ask Sheriff Gore why he didn't choose other words. But I read that to mean they were tested. MOO.

Perhaps in the photos the scratches are not as apparent because of the lividity that is apparent on her back.

Because according to the ME she was hanging for some long hours and of course then the lividity would be in her legs.

Which of course makes one question the report once again.

ALWAYS MOO

I asked Cynic how he saw "hundreds" of wounds on Rebecca's back, and was told the answer was the lividity. Cynic, how did you see Rebecca's back before lividity set in? Were you there that morning? Do you have photos you can post? TIA

Agreeing to disagree...

IMVHO SDSO would have given any example of actual testing that was done to mollify the questions from the reporters. If they had anything scientific to back up their claims they would have stated it and included it in their press conference.

To me, was determined to be menstrual blood and Again, we determined that was her blood because it was on her body and it was menstrual blood is stating it. But we will agree to disagree. MOO.

Is what you are thinking is that it was someone else's menstrual blood?

No. As I stated above, IMVHO they did not test the blood to ensure that it WAS menstrual blood. Gore stated to a reporter that they determined the blood was menstrual blood by "logical investigative work" not any type of lab tests. Just because there is blood on someone, does not mean it is menstrual. There was blood on RZ's body, including her hands and feet as well as blood in the house. Since they did not state they did any scientific testing of the blood, there is no way to prove that the blood was menstrual in origin.

I believe that logical investigative work and Gore's definitive statement that it was menstrual blood, means it was tested. Perhaps you would have preferred different language, but determined to be menstrual blood means it went through scientific testing.

I don't believe a woman detective looked at it and said, "looks like menstrual blood to me" and they said, "Oh, ok." MOO.

In a case like this where so much information is missing and information not given to the next of kin, every aspect should be looked at. When you read the questions from the reporter and the responses from Gore, it doesn't read that way to me the way you see at all. It reads a lot like someone avoiding answering the question. It's cool. Again, agree to disagree.

When I read "determined to be menstrual blood" I didn't automatically assume the blood was tested.

The panties they found were determined to be from a friend of G[modsnip]'s who had spent the night. Were they tested? NO!

Gore's statements have been rife with ambiguities. It is why this family still has questions. It is why we are still talking about this 3 years later.

Do you mean the woman detective who was taken off the case?

If you read Dina's lawyers response in its entirely, you will see that he is not attempting to put the blame on someone else for "choking Rebecca", but pointing out the absurdity of the accusations the Zahaus are charging in their complaint. IMO.

[modsnip] My post was based on the story written and posted by ABC15 ARIZONA, Aug 1, 2014....[modsnip] I properly quoted the article, gave a link and provided alternative ways for o.thers to access the article. Rather than sit back and demand others provide links all the time, I would appreciate it if you would also supply links.
[modsnip]...psst, no need to supply a link. CYNIC (one of the most interesting, think-out-of-the-box posters) has provided lots of info and photos....based on his professional experience and interpretation. Surely, "someone" has photos of the rope (and how it was secured/tied) around Rebecca's neck....and I would expect NO ONE to provide a link, or ACTUAL picture of that.....ESPECIALLY IF IT IS GOING TO BE PRESENTED IN COURT. Sometimes the best that can be provided is a diagram or similar photo.

The menstrual blood and the panties having nothing to do with each other. The blood was tested, the panties were not and in my opinion, its because it was obvious they were not Rebecca's. MOO.

They had no idea whose panties those were. They were not obviously "not Rebecca's."

And the women's clothing found in the guest house were also obviously not Rebecca's?

[modsnip] Luckily for Lucy, I don't work in an office. And I have read the article in its entirety.

I have provided links when I have stated something that needed a link. I think when someone is accusing someone of murder, and one of their main "facts" is that a knot only a boater would know was used, I think it is fair to ask how this person knows what the noose knot looked like , and to make that available to all.

Even if it were a boating type knot, which I sincerely doubt based on the arm and wrist knots, Rebecca herself was a boater, and Jonah's brother could have shown her how to tie off on past visits.

I also think Rebecca hugged Nina and asked her to hold the cell phone in order to pass off DNA. I believe Rebecca was trying to set up Dina, and her sister.

All My Opinion Only.

The clothes and panties were from teenagers. Big difference from a 32-year old woman's. IMO, there was nothing to indicate that Rebecca had been in the guest house that evening.[modsnip] .

Is it any more preposterous than the statement I've read here that said "Nina only said Rebecca hugged her in order to have an alibi for DNA"???

The clothes and panties were never proved to be from anyone. They didn't know they were from teenagers.

"We think" "we determined" "likely" "probably" are not evidence.

Funny, those words run throughout the Zahau's claims.
