ELKVIEW, W.Va. — A juvenile has been charged with four counts of murder in connection with the deaths of two adults and two children at a home near Elkview in Kanawha County.

Thanks for posting this SaguaroSpirit! I was reading about this yesterday, apparently the 16 year old son is responsible for taking the rest of his family out.

These cases are happening at an alarming occurrence, sadly.

Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the victims from the quadruple murder in Pinch.

According to deputies, Daniel Dale Long, 37, of Elkview, Risa Mae Saunders, 39, of Elkview, Gage Ripley, 12, of Elkview and Jameson Long, 3, of Elkview were found dead in a home Sunday morning.

Neighbor calls for help after 4 found dead in Elkview home

Nathan Gandee, the neighbor, and a family member made the call for help when the bodies of the family were found next door.

Gandee’s neighbor’s relatives showed up Sunday morning to check on them after not hearing from them.

“He said ‘well they are all dead.’ I said ‘what?’ and he said ‘they are all dead in there,’ ” Gandee said. ”He said that the parents were in bed. The father still had a CPAP (sleep device) on and the child was laying in the hallway.”

Gandee said he ran inside and called for help.

A 17-year-old girl has been arrested and charged in the deaths of four family members whose bodies were found Sunday in Elkview, Kanawha County Sheriff Mike Rutherford said.

He said the girl is charged with four counts of first-degree murder. A 16-year-old boy faces similar charges in the case.

There was a case similar to this just a few weeks ago in southern Alaska where my daughter lives. An 18 year old boy was out on bail for domestic violence and killed his aunt and 3 cousins by shooting them. Only survivor was a 6 year old that had to watch their whole family die. Only reason they survived was the gun jammed. His aunt was helping him. Paid his bail and let him stay there and that's how he thanked her.
