Found Deceased WV - Alexander "Alex" Selip, 35, left his home unexpectedly, no phone, no bank transactions, has MH issues, Weirton, 9 Jan 2025

A missing persons report has been filed through the Weirton Police department for Alexander (Alex) Selip.

He is 35 years old and is said to be approximately 6’1” tall and approximately 220-230 pounds.

He is known to have brown hair, brown beard, hazel colored eyes and a tattoo on his upper left arm.

He was last seen Thursday, January 9th 2025 at approximately 1:30 pm leaving his residence on Weircrest without advising his family. At the time that he left he was known to be wearing a tan carhartt jacket, green sweat shirt, blue jeans and gray/blue colored sketchers shoes.

He does not have his cell phone on him and there has been no transactions on his bank account. Multiple locations have been contacted asking if Alex has been seen with negative results.

Alex is said to suffer from mental illness and is known to frequently walk to several businesses in the city.
