I haven't seen it anywhere, just that it's been confirmed that he did in fact leave with the co-worker, and was at work as expected.

On NG, one of the reporters said it had been confirmed that he got his ride to work and went to work.

What I am wondering about the drive; was much of the 2 hours used to get gas after running out? The drive itself makes little sense to me, but perhaps she had to walk for gas, etc...? That would take up some time.

If this child is not in the river, which I am leaning toward due to the dogs, then I think the search needs to include this location. It is less than 2 miles from Dennison St, abandoned, aside for the areas used for ghost tours and just seems like a very good place to hide something or someone. The place is huge. Comments from the local poster on this?

Did anyone confirm that he worked at the Stonewall jackson Resort and how far that is from where they lived. I am leaning towards something being given to the child and she wasn't responding when mother went in. As in the Haleigh Cummings case, Mom freaked out and took her from the home and maybe disposing of her. I think I read that the step father was at work and did not leave for any length of time that morning, like to meet up with her?????

If Aliyah was sick with a fever and diarrhea (flu), it's very possible that she could have been vomiting. She also could have been vomiting from being up crying all night. If everyone in the house were sleeping in late, Baby A could have vomited and then choked or drowned.
Mother finds Baby A in her bed, (fearing CPS will take her children/money away) takes Baby A to the river. Mother claims Baby A must have been abducted or simply walked away.

I'd say welcome to WS OSU Mom, but seeing your join date, I will say welcome to coming out of lurkdom and please post more often!

:greetings:

Yikes, that place looks creepy to me.

I google imaged it and it looks like there's an extremely large wooded area behind the main building there.

Something to consider, I suppose.

The 2 hour drive bothers me, too. She said she ran out of gas. Who did she borrow money from to get gas? Didn't that person tell her to call the police? My dog was missing for a few seconds and I had everyone around looking for him. It just doesn't make any sense.

It looks to me like the resort is approximately 11 miles (17 minutes) from the approximate area of the home, to the resort where the stepfather works.

Was there any mention of her contacting the step-father before or during her 2 hour drive around town? It seems to me like that would have been the first thing she would do, but I haven't seen any mention of that at all. I also feel like if she had called him, he would have left work. I agree something is very strange here.

I don't think she borrowed money - all reports are that she borrowed gas.

It seems LE has really been johnny on the spot this whole case, my guess is they've confirmed the gas story.

*wonders how you actually borrow gas*

Melanie - 59 is next door to 49, on the right if you are facing the house. There is another house at the end of the block facing Skin Creek, looks fairly new. The other area you have circled is the river.

Just did a Google News Search for Aliayah. Very few news source have picked up the story. The only national ones are NG and CNN. And I'm pretty sure the CNN article wasn't even on the front page of the website, just in the Justice section.

The only thing I can think of is she called someone (the question then would be who she called..) and asked them to bring her a can of gas, then put it in her car (wherever she ran out of gas at).

Another scenario is she ran out of gas somewhere close enough to a gas station, walked there, asked someone to fill up a gas can for her, then walked back to her car and put it in.

Those are the only possible scenarios I can think of as to how you borrow gas.

I want to know:

- Who helped her get gas?

- Did she mention anything to this person that her child was missing?

- Where exactly was she when she ran out of gas? In town? Out of town?

The town seems fairly small. It seems as if she was in town when she ran out of gas, she could just walk home and call someone for help. If she was out of town, why? I 3 yo wouldn't possibly go that far. IMO

It reminds me of Terri Horman's mysterious 2-hour calming-the-baby drive.

I haven't really kept totally up to date on this case, but how was the family's finances? Two hours of driving is going to be pretty spendy in the gas department (depending on the type of vehicle).

I'm sooo glad you asked this question. I went to bed and couldn't get this little girl out of my mind. And I wondered the same thing.
I'm not trying to sleuth the mom...but it has been reported that she filed a lawsuit against DOC and 2 prison guards. I wonder what the status of this lawsuit is. Could the family have been relying on any money from this to help a household on the verge of 7 children? I've also seen some things that lead me to believe the family followed the CA case. What if this missing child is an attempt for financial gain? Not a deliberate attempt....but something happened and the family decided to report her missing instead of calling the right people. KWIM?

The lunatic asylum has more than ghost tours. They do mud bogs, haunted house tours at halloween and other things. It's busier than it seems. The wooded area is not that big. In fact, the emergency services are very close to it.

Hi Daisy,

I watched NG tonight and felt it was a very good show. JVM and Marc Klaas reported on baby A's disappearance and did so in a very respectful way. I would encourage you to watch it and let us know if you feel otherwise. I think you will.

I think we have a bit of Haleigh Cummings (river/mobile home), and a bit of Caylee Marie (age, searching for hours (not days though).

I don't understand the mother searching for this 3 year old for 2 hours (and running out of gas no less) in a small town that others say you can drive through in about 5 minutes.

Lots of interesting elements.

Best,

Melanie

Okay I might be a tad bit off on this but if my 3 year old daughter was missing from her room the first thing I would have done would be to call 911. I would try and let everyone know that my child was missing and not just try to find her on my own. I pray that Aliayah is found safe.

Thinking further....why would you even leave your house for 2 hours if you thought your child had wandered off?? I could see looking around outside, yelling the child's name...but wouldn't you STAY THERE in the event that the child returned home?!?!?!?!?!

My gut tells me she was up to no good!

I just talked to Channel 12, (interviewing searchers) and waiting for some people searching the river behind my house. Anyway, she verified that grandmother lives in Walkersville and not in Weston.
