David’s father Rick said it’s unusual his son would go this long without talking to his family.
“He don’t have any enemies that I know of, and he’s the type of person that will give you the shirt off his back,” Rick said. “He always has been that way.”
Now, two-and-a-half weeks since David was last seen, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is again asking the public for more information.
“There were some initial leads,” Humphreys said. “There was some initial sightings and those have not panned out to find David.”

Sergeant Brian Humphreys of the KCSO says now that you don’t have to wait 48 hours to file a missing persons report, he encourages people to call sooner rather than later.
“We would rather begin an investigation and find out within an hour that, that was overkill as opposed to not know about it for days,” Humphreys said.
David’s father Ricky said his son didn't take any of his clothes or belongings with him. He had a paycheck that he never picked up.
"He's the most outgoing person. He doesn't know a stranger. He'll talk to anybody," his father said. "He's got a heart of gold and would never do anything to hurt anyone. I truly believe that. I know that for a fact."
The search continues for 33-year-old David Woodall. While his disappearance is a mystery, he's believed to have left the Pine Meadows apartments on Ferrell Road in the Tornado area July 16.
David’s father Ricky said his son didn't take any of his clothes or belongings with him. He had a paycheck that he never picked up.
"There's a lot of options on the table,” Humphreys said. “I don't want to say that we're considering one over another. There are a variety of things that could have happened, or may be happening, to Mr. Woodall. We just don't know."
