[h=1]Mother of homicide suspect reported missing[/h]

Hassana Shareef, 56, of Huntington, was last seen Sunday morning at her home on Ridge Run Road in Huntington, according to reports from the Cabell County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating her disappearance. Shareef is the mother of Zaire Monroe-Shareef, 34, who is charged with murder in the beating death of Lisa Washburn, who was found severely beaten on a residential front porch early Thursday morning in the 500 block of West 10th Avenue.


Although Sheriff Chuck Zerkle said the case is being treated as a missing person situation, reports suggest the possibility that Shareef's disappearance might be connected to her son's charges. Zerkle added it's not clear if Shareef is in any imminent danger.

She left after and argument in a white Hyundai Santa Fe.
