How do I find out more about this person found. Jonathon is my nephew and I'm the one that put his info on namus. But I'm still learning all this

This young lad has already been identified and a funeral taken place. Not sure why it's still active.

It's perhaps active if the ME made a formal identification then somehow NAMUS wasn't notified. The MSM articles didn't name Darley specifically as being one of the bodies identified in this particular case. Cause of death released for three of five victims at Lewis County house fire scene

I'm sorry about your nephew. The person found (who I believe if you read further down in the thread after your post, was identified) was stated to be an estimated range of pre 20 years. Your nephew is 34. That identification is normally made by forensic anthropologists and/or forensic odontologists (forensic dentist) in consult with the Medical Exainer, and that age determination is surpisingly complex and usually accurate. It usually involves more than one forensic discipline with dental age estimation usually combined with skeletal and biochemical methods to get more accurate results

If I'm reading the thread for Jonathan properly, I think the case of the multiple murder with unidentified victims and the case of your missing nephew have not been linked by Law Enforcement as being related.

This is ONLY my opinion, but when I see murders such as the one that resulted in the deaths of multiple parties, it's often drug related. A WV criminal record search of Jonathan revealed 2 domestic assault charges which were closed, and some earlier battery, and burglary when he was much younger. Also closed with any restitutions owed the court already made. There's no record he had any interaction with law enforcement over drug use, recreational or otherwise.https://mcrsearch.courtswv.gov/

I also hope we do. And I know the police should be considering any and all possibilities. Just because someone has no record of drug use doesn't mean they don't use. Just stating facts. Not everyone gets arrested or makes public what they do. With that being said. Drugs or no drugs, John boy has an entire family behind him and looking for him. Please if you find any information or can help me in any way find him and bring him home. Id be forever greatful. Thank you for responding

A lot of the extremely little details can help ID unidentified persons IMO. Things like tattoos, common jewelry, favorite bands, recent interests; tidbits like they dye their hair often; these can all be the breaking factor in these. (Don't get me wrong, I truly hope John is just a Missing Person and not an Unidentified)

He has a glass right eye. He has both ears pierced and “Woodward” tattooed across the top of his back and an eagle head on his right upper arm.

They did find his clothes he left wearing up by one of the water towers in Charleston wv. But that's all I know. No other leads. And the person that reported that lead was cleared my understanding
