I don't have sound at work, can someone who does transcribe? The witch is sitting there crying, I hope she's crying for the life she took and not for herself, but that's probably not the case.

Eddy will be eligible for parole in 15 years, if Judge gives her life with mercy; Miller v. Alabama applies. Does not mean auto parole, tho.

When it comes to mercy provision, all parties are bound by U.S. Supreme Court precedent, which says it's inhumane since juvenile.

If Clawgess accepts plea, Eddy cannot appeal unless her attorney did a bad job.

The judge is getting ready to sentence her.

Eddy's plea agreement includes a provision that Pennsylvania will not prosecute her for hiding Skylar's body in Greene County, Pennsylvania. The plea deal also includes a life sentence in prison with mercy. The mercy designation means that Eddy will be eligible for parole after she serves 15 years in prison. Eddy's plea agreement protects her from federal charges in the case. Judge Russell Clawges said the state of West Virginia will drop the conspiracy and kidnapping charges against Eddy in exchange for her plea agreement.

She can be released after 15 years? Horrible imo.

I know they didn't want to go through a trial but, oy. This was planned cold blooded violent murder for no reason and they both can be out in 15 years?

I'd rather take my chance at a trial and a life sentence. I don't think I could handle going to parole hearings over and over once the 15 years has been served.

Has she gotten the chance to speak or is it all over now?

If anyone knows/finds anywhere where I can re-watch the live stream or video of the plea/sentencing please post! Thanks!

I don't think I've ever come across a case that has haunted me as much as this one. Pure evil. I think it's the way that these two went about their lives like nothing had happened - all over twitter, posting pictures of themselves, comforting Skylar's parents ... all the while knowing what they'd done. One of them went off to Christian camp the very next day!

Skylar tried to fun and fight back but they kept stabbing and stood over her until she took her last breath.

Just because they will be eligible for parole in 15 years, doesn't mean they will be let out in 15 years. Hopefully it will be much longer.

I feel disgusted that she won't be punished for kidnapping and hiding Skylar's body. I can't imagine the additional pain and suffering they felt, not knowing what had become of their child for such a long time and then not being able to view her body one last time.

Her parents were so desperate to not have a trial though so I suppose it must be worth it to them.

15 years though, it's just so little :(

It's like they basically got away with it, and bless the Neese family. I know they didn't want to go through a trial because the pain, but this is too damn little time for such a crime. I hope they don't regret it in the long run. People stating she'll never get out after only 15 years on her first parole hearing are not watching the same system we watch everyday here on WS. Anything can happen.

And I read they're keeping SE at juvenile detention center until a bed opens up at the adult facility? More bulls*(&.
Send her there now and find a place or transfer her to another adult facility. She's 18 and a cold blooded murderer.

I'm glad that Skyler's family won't have to suffer through the trial. I really am, but it burns my butt that this little ***** will come up for parole when she is only 33.

RIP Skyler, the world misses you so much and you did not deserve to miss out on the rest of your life because of wicked, disgusting, immoral ****** who are too young for the law to put them away for the rest of their miserable lives as they deserve.

It's quite maddening. This SE thing didn't even apologize in court today or make a statement.

Thing is exactly right. I'm not much for getting overly cranky but I'd like to slap the **** out of her.

This case makes me so mad that I avoid the thread like the plague because it is so hard to sit on my hands and not let out of stream of expletives regarding these two inhuman monsters who killed their best friend. I don't have the emotion often, but I hate them, not just for killing Skyler and everything they took away from her and her family, but for everything they did afterward.

They make me sick to my stomach and it stinks that they get to breathe the same air as everyone else.

Rant over.

You rant for us all.

Another part of the plea was no federal charges for kidnapping and taking Skylar across state lines, no charges in PA ....ever.

I'm just amazed the Neese's signed off on this wrist slap, but I do understand they wanted to get this behind them. I don't think they wanted to face that monster everyday in court for a month or so until the trial was over and done.

Honestly I dont think I would of felt like 40 years was enough. I don't think I would of even felt like DP was justice enough. Anytime I think of either one of them walking free it brings up this rage in me that is so the opposite of who I am as a woman. I'm happy that tonight the Neese family will be able to lay down to sleep without the trial hanging over them. They will never get over the suffocation of their loss, but maybe, just maybe, tomorrow will be just a tiny bit easier.

I hope that those two girls are able to find the souls that they are so obviously without. I hope they are able to turn themselves over to some higher power or do something to really change who they are as beings. I know that it probably won't happen. Im not even sure I believe it's possible, but I hope it will. If for no other reason then so that they can really truly understand what they've done.

Authorities claim Eddy and Shoaf drove Neese to Greene County, Pa., about 30 miles west of Morgantown, where they coordinated the fatal stabbing with kitchen knives and tried to bury her body. Instead, they covered Neese’s body with branches in a ditch, where it remained undiscovered until Shoaf led police back to the scene seven months later.

Monongalia County prosecuting attorney Marcia Ashdown told the court, “at an agreed upon signal, a countdown actually, those two girls, Shelia Eddy and Rachel Shoaf, stabbed Skylar to death. They stood over her until her last breath.”
