I wonder if he had an accident, and landed in a place hard to see? We have sooo many mountains and steep curves in WV. We are also having lots of deer running into roads and causing accidents. I’m not super familiar with that area. I hope he’s found somehow safe soon. jmo

Updated two hours ago--yay, he was found!

UPDATE | Elderly man reported missing in Braxton County found

A 74-year-old man reported missing during the weekend in Braxton County has been found, his family tells our sister station WSAZ. . .

William Howard Monk was located after West Virginia State Police troopers received a tip from a hunter and searched for miles with a K-9 unit. He was found in the Aaron's Fork/Leatherwood area.

Family says Monk was unable to walk, but he is being flown by helicopter to Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston.

Sounds like LE got to him just in time! Thanks to the alert hunter who gave the tip, and the K-9 unit who located William!
